Aside from the total lack of personality, this store has the WORST customer service Drove all the way home to find out the fitting I purchased was marked incorrectly, when exchanging it for the correct and correctly marked fitting I was charged $1.00 more for the correct fitting. It was like I kicked their puppy, the crappy attitude and lack of taking accountability for this store made mistake was incomprehensible. It's not the dollar, not even the four dollars in fuel to go back or my time but a simple "hey, sorry about that". I know mistakes happen and it's ok, but, have a bit of positive personality to those who keep your doors open . It might just be a dollar or a lousy fitting but because of this I will drive a half hour more for anything I need in the future. Good job clerk 14, your attitude sucks.

Helpful staff. They went to the basement to get out a ladder on sale for us. The paint selection looked exceptional. Good selection of hand vacs, more than other Ace stores we looked at. Spacious and well stocked for a town Stamford's size.

The staff is super nice and helpful. Great Neighborhood Hardware Store. I'm an electrician and I can often get whatever I need here which saves me the trip to Oneonta.
