Walmart Auto Care Center

Made an appointment seven days ahead of time. Arranged my entire Saturday around my 5 PM appointment including finding childcare for my daughter. Drove the hour to that location to do some shopping ahead of time. My appointment was canceled at 3:15 PM because of a lack of staff. I was told they just noticed that no one would be there after 4 PM. I find it very hard to believe that no one noticed all day that they would be shortstaffed after 4 PM. I wasted my entire Saturday on an appointment that they canceled. I will not go back there.

1 star is being gracious. I made an appointment a week in advance for new tires to be put on. The day before my appointment I was called and told they didn’t have staff to support that appointment. Understandable. They then told me to bring it at noon. My fiancé arrived a little before noon with my car and ended up waiting for what was supposed to be an hour service for 3 hours! Upon my fiancé returning my car to me I check my tire pressure…. All 4 of my tires are at a different pressure ranging from 35-45… 45 for my tiny Buick encore… that’s literally 10psi over what it’s supposed to have. Taking 3 hours for a 1 hour service the psi should be correct smh

I love this location. Staff are smart & friendly. Service is quick. I bought a set of tires and they loaded them right into my car for me. Very nice.

If I could leave zero I could. I’ve used them a multitude of times I always have to wait 2hrs at least before they can ever get to my car. Today I called ahead as I have my child with me. I was told first come first serve. I arrive there not much later and get told it’s a 2.5hr-3hr wait. I politely told them that would’ve been helpful to know before hand when I called and Joshua who’s apparently a 25yr employee snidely said well three people just walked in. I won’t be coming here again. I’ve had better and faster experiences at Monroe muffler and brake if you’re looking for a better place for a FAST oil change.

Who is in charge of the Auto Care center at the Waterloo Walmart store ?? Why would it take a car care center 4 hours to get to a single tire mount and balance ? Why would other vehicles be brought in and be put a head of a tire mount and balance ? Wouldn’t one think that a simple quick job like a mount and balance be done quickly and get it in and out before allowing a vehicle to be brought in for service !? Is there such a thing as first come first served, with an exception of an appointment !!!??? Why would only one automotive technician be scheduled to work from opening until 11 am/noon !!?? This isn’t the first time this has happened to me (and it appears others as well) with a simple task like a mount and balance and have vehicles placed in front of me. I guess if I were buying the tires there then I would have been taken care of right away and not made to wait and/or if my vehicle was being serviced and the cost of that job out weighed the cost of a simple mount and balance or simple service. I truly hope this complaint reaches the district and regional managers that are responsible for this store and others in the area, inasmuch your gonna loose business if you don’t discuss customer service issues like this with corporate. Who the hell wants to wait 3.5 to 4 hours for simple repairs or services when there is a quick lube right up the roadway and other independently owned garages in the area that your competing with !!?? All of this equals a loss of business and revenue for the Walmart store(s) because it’s unacceptable. Furthermore, if the store(s) are expected to be managed like this by district and regional managers as directed by corporate and to hell with the customer’s, then this is unacceptable as well. Put your college degrees aside and try some old fashioned customer service exercises and maybe watch the bottom line increase instead of watching customers walk out of the store and really not want to return. So, as of the time of this review, I dropped off 1 (ONE), as in single, tire for mount and balance at 9am EST and the current time is now 1pm EST and still no mounted and balanced tire. I’m not hanging around the damn store this whole time waiting and I now have to commute back to the Walmart store, WHEN the tire is finally completed. This after being told at time of drop off that there was only a single flat service and an oil change in front of me. Then upon NEEDING to leave the store 2.5 hours later and being informed that 3 vehicles came in and they took precedence over my service !!!!!! THIS IS A TOTALLY RIDICULOUS SITUATION AND COMPLETELY AVOIDABLE. It’s avoidable by not patronizing the Auto Care Center at Waterloo Walmart !!!!!!! I should have heeded the previous reviews of similar circumstances.
