Place tried to take advantage of my misfortune. I stopped in after experiencing transmission issues with my car. I was heading out of town for work so left it with them so they could take their time and perform a proper diagnosis like they offered. I received a phone call from them advising that the entire transmission was bad in my can and no one fixes them, my options were to only replace the transmission at a cost of $7700! I told them not to proceed and I would be back over the weekend to pick it up, they said it would be locked and safe there until I returned. When I returned I found my car was unlocked and had been rummaged through. Now after some research and diagnostics on my own I found a TSB from the manufacturer that matched the codes and symptoms it was having. I ordered the 3 parts (a valve body, 2 pressure sensors) I did the repair myself and all is now working as it should. $250 was my total cost of this repair. Do not trust Opitz, they do not do any actual diagnostic work, repairs, or services. They are just out to sell you new transmissions at inflated prices.

Accurate diagnosis. Quick rebuild and repair of my transmission at a fair price for all the work involved. We have used them before with a different vehicle and also had a good experience. I would recommend Opitz highly for any transmission issues.

Acceptional, professional and very honest about everything. The dealership wanted to charge me twice the price for a rebuilt transmission. Opitz did it for half the price. We are not talking about $1,000 off of 1500 off actually half the price. Don't even think twice bring it there if you care about your vehicle and your wallet.

Called to have my wife's jeep diagnosed, ended up needing a transmission. Shop was able to get the old one out, new one ordered, and installed within a week as they had quoted us on the phone. Steve was very helpful and explained everything he found when doing the work.
