Said he would rebuild my turbo 350, my case was missing a chunk. He said he was giving me a better case. I got back a dud of a transmission. Painted up, I just took it out of my car recently thing is pissing transmission fluid from the new pan gasket. The front pump is beat, yes he said he would replace it. I have a nice car and because of an injury It takes me a lot of time to pull motor/transmission. Also doing a good job, my summer was ruined last year. He just goes" pull it out ill change the pump right infront of you" . Some people can't just drop a transmission that easy. Shop was a complete mess, the bench tester was filthy and full of parts. As soon as I hooked up the linkage it didn't feel anything like my previous transmission. Tells me to my face he bench tested it, he absolutely did not. I got duped. He was nice and definitely has good reviews. There was a nice older truck there but I GOT DUPED. UPDATE I was never offered any money back , i told him it wasn't working as soon as I got the car back together last summer. He has offered to refund me some money now that I left a negative and honest review. You never know what someone is going through. To casually tell me to "just pull it back out " is ridiculous. This transmission was immediately leaking everywhere, shift selector bushing and the pan. The amount of slop i could feel just hooking up the linkage i knew it was at least a very used unit. I got another rebuilt transmission same case i had before. NO AMOUNT OF MONEY WILL MAKE ME HAPPY.

I got the transmission for my 2006 Silverado rebuilt and it runs like a top. I snapped a couple bolts off and lost some pieces John had some extras and gave them to me. He walked me through the ins and outs of putting the transmission back in because I was doing it myself, I did exactly what he said and my work truck is back on the job. I drove two hour to get my transmission for John and I would do it 100 times over well worth it. He is a master mechanic you will not find a more knowledgeable dude when it comes to 4l60e transmissions. Strongly recommend

John had a 4L60E rebuilt and ready for my 256K '05 Silverado in 2 days. Added a reman TC and truck shifts better than when I bought it with 86K. John took the time to show us exactly how he rebuilt the transmission. Extremely knowledgeable and thorough. It was a pleasure speaking with him. Cannot beat the price and value.

This is my 2nd time using Top Notch to rebuild a transmission. He has a quick turn around time. Dropped my transmission off Wednesday and had it back Friday. Transmission is working great, actually the best I remember it working. Rebuild price was best around. Would recommend him to anyone that is in need of a trans rebuild. Very confident in his work.
