Dewey Auto and Tire

After moving, was recommended Dewey Auto and Tire. Over about a year, my car was in three times for different repairs/maintenance for over 1K. Each time, I asked Jimmy to check the transmission fluid level, since it was a known issue that I had a little leak and it need to be topped off regularly. Each time I was told it was fine and that he didn't see any leak. I was like, but it's strange that I had a leak that just stopped, but Jimmy just shrugged. Fast forward to now: my car goes into limp mode, I crawl into a reputable workshop and ask that they check my transmission fluid level: does not register on the stick! They add 2.5 QUARTS! to my transmission! Why didn't Jimmy do the simple service I asked and paid for? Why did he risk destroying my transmission? Why was I lied to about it 3x? Still dunno. Pretty much a jerk thing to do to a customer, in any case. Maybe that's just the difference between a good workshop and a bad one. I mean, they lost their license to do state inspections because they couldn't even get that right. Nuf said. If you rely on your car, do your car a favor and go to a good workshop

My husband and I are from Long Island. We acquired a jeep from a family member and it was less than taken care of. We got it to Dewey’s, and Jimmy was amazing. We explained we were leaving to head back home Tuesday morning, and he said he would have it ready Monday afternoon (we got there Friday before they closed). The jeep needed the front tire repaired, new brakes, an oil change, and inspection. All was done Monday afternoon, and the price was far from what we expected. We highly recommend Jimmy and his staff to anyone in the area. 3 hours into our trip home, and it’s been great!

Best in town obviously. Mostly everyone will inform you that "THEY ARE HONEST, REASONABLE AND SKILLED. What more can you expect. Family ran. Father and Son etc. Friendly, fun place to add. A place of respect. Be respectful and kind because they are actually doing us a favor with their Integrity, hard work and skills. So difficult to find a mechanic who is HONEST with INTEGRITY. Everyone adore/respect this family. I give them the #1 spot of repairs and tires etc. A great asset to the community. Grateful to have discovered this place. Been back numerous times and will continue to return it's a no brainer. WOMEN are treated FAIRLY unlike other shops who try to up sell. Tallest big guy is son JIMMY. Father is Dave ETC All staff members are honest and hard working. Both are great amicable fair and HONEST. You would be crazy to go anywhere else. I'm Fred and unequivocally I APPROVE. CERTIFIED #1 IN TOWN.
