Valvoline Instant Oil Change

The staff that took care of my car were amazing. Very pleasant to speak with and extremely informed about my car. They offered great advice, future things to consider taking care of and a timeline when to do so. I was in and out of the service bank very quickly. Highly recommend the Nyack Valvoline station.

Get as far away from this place as you possibly can. A standard oil change ultimately led to $10,000 worth of engine failure as a result of the “work” done at Valvoline in my 2019 Jeep Cherokee. I went for an oil change on January 6th and immediately after driving off of the lot felt my car lacked smoothness, had RPM surges to 3000 - 4000 but did not think anything of it because I was under the impression my oil was just changed. It took about 7 weeks (February 26th) of driving before my check engine light came on. That same weekend, I brought my car to my mechanic to assess why my check engine light was on. At that time my mechanic notified me that my oil and noticed the oil tank was bone dry, without any signs of a leak or burning oil present, indicating that there must have been an error at the time of the oil change. Not only did my mechanic state there was no signs of oil leakage/burning, but he also informed me that there were shards of metal within my engine. After contacting Valvoline and starting a claim with the claims department for the services that led to engine failure on March 2nd, I was told that the claim was under investigation and the general/district manager will be assessing the situation. I was eventually told by the manager Judenson on Friday March 6th that the oil change that was done in January was “perfect.” After asking for video proof of the services provided, he stated that he would provide me the videos as he said all the bays are under video surveillance. I submitted a rebuttal of the claim denial on March 9th and requested video proof and compensation for the damages that were caused, all to no avail. At this point I was convinced a general manager did not exist because now both the manager and Valvoline claims department stated this person was the one who controlled if my claim were to be approved or not but I had not even been connected to this person. No name was provided of who this general/district manager were. Highly recommend you go anywhere else and save yourself the $10,000+ worth of damage that this place can, and probably will, cause as they will not compensate for the damages they cause.

I never thought I'd be leaving a google review for a quick oil change out of NYC but here I am. This experience surpassed my expectations -- including Aviva. She was outstanding. & the rapport the staff had with one another is enough of a reason to go back again and again. THANK YOU!

Awesome job! Would definitely come back. Quick and staff was knowledgeable and friendly. Luis was great and so was one of the other employees ( his name was long and I couldn't pronounce it let alone spell it) but excellent service!
