Red Roof Inn Weedsport

I swore off red roof about 15 years ago! But on a snowy road trip up to Toronto from Jersey, we had no choice but to pull off the highway and get a room for the night due to the icy road conditions. This red roof inn was the nearest place we could stay. I promise you I went back and forth in my mind and came very close to just sleeping in the car, based on previous experiences with the red roof brand. But ultimately I decided to stay here because the pictures online were impressive and the rooms looked newly renovated. Best decision i could've made! The staff were all so kind and accommodating. The property was clean and fresh. The room was spacious, pristine, and so comfortable. The manager told me in the morning that they recently had a complete renovation. This hotel is nothing, and I do mean NOTHING like the red roof of old. I'm so so so glad we stayed here.

Not my first time at a red roof, but definitely my first time with a motel experience. We are on a road trip with pets and had to book a night last minute. This was pet friendly, there was space available, and reviews looked fine. But then we got there… The sheets were stained, the sink didn’t drain well, shower floor was slimy, there was no soap, and the main door barely closed. I can only imagine the amount of bugs that get in during the warmer months, but thankfully we didn’t find any bugs. The room key stopped working in the morning, making it difficult to efficiently pack up and get out. There was next to nothing for breakfast - but there is a Dunkin across the street. This stay definitely ruined my view of red roof and I am unlikely to stay at any in the future.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I arrived in the middle of a snowstorm with no reservation, and the staff could not have been kinder or more accommodating. They were more than happy to help, extremely friendly, and even allowed me to check in early since they had a vacancy. The room is clean and spacious, and it’s clear the staff is working hard to keep the walkways clear despite the ongoing storm. My little dog and I are so grateful to have had a safe, warm place to stay instead of continuing to travel in such terrible weather. Truly appreciated the compassion and excellent customer service—thank you!

Good spot to stop for the night after a long day's drive. A lot of traffic noise (including trains), but I nevertheless slept okay. One note: you may want to skip the free breakfast in the lobby and go right to the donut shop across the street.
