-*UPDATE*. Took vehicle to expert and found out Johns MOTOR and TRANSMISSION did not follow any procedures required for doing the work correctly, will be adding photos so you all can see how fabulous a job these guys do. Tried to reach out today and was told to "kick rocks." When a mechanic charges you by the Labor hour and does not do the labor, I consider that fraud, we shall see. Once again I highly recommend you do not use this mechanic. They will ruin your vehicle and blame you. Turns out the story has more to do with the quality of the actual repair.- Two vehicles, unimpressed with how either came out I have edited this down to the facts and only the facts. I paid $3k for a head gasket repair and they didn't take the time to properly remove the hoses from the engine. Radiator started leaking from a stress point where all the plastic crumbles/crumbled. I am only a year later now and the engine is smoking and Mark will not admit any wrongdoing. Radiators are critical to engine health. The hoses and radiator both needed replacing. I am constantly asking for prevention work and the raditor was at least a decade overdue along with the hoses and clamps. Engine is now dead, as I allowed them to sell me a job with cheap parts and no PROACTIVE repairs to avoid a critical failure of my engine. I do not recommend this shop. Unless you are looking to have your car towed from work twice in a week I would reconsider. They use the cheapest parts I can verify and they do not do prevention.

Great service and very fast. They share recommendations and don’t push upsells, explain processes, and maintain great contact. They make sure you know every step they take start to finish and push to get you the best price. Highly recommend!

We brought out car to John's Motor and Transmission Shop when a warning light appeared on our dashboard. A dealer had told us it would take weeks and many thousands to repair. John's fixed it in 2 days for much much less. They explainedwhat happenedand how they fixed it in plain language. It is working perfectly. We'll never go anywhere else again!

One morning, I try to go to work and my car is limping forward. I get AAA to tow it to John's as it was the closest place to my house. They got my car and did a thorough diagnostic to find the issue (luckily it wasn't my transmission!). Ever since then, I went to John's for my car needs. From oil changes, to brakes, to weird sounds, they've helped me through it all. Though my car is a little problematic, the employees here are always helpful to listen to my concerns, explain what needs to be replaced or repaired, and keep the prices reasonable. Overall, I HIGHLY recommend John's Motor and Transmission for anyone in need of a good, trustworthy mechanic.

Excellent shop; guys went above and beyond to make sure car was fixed right and in the promised amount of time. I highly recommend and will be back in the future!
