Ted's Auto Repair

Ted and Charlie have been my mechanic for almost 15 years. I have never been ripped off or taken advantage of at this shop. This is hands down the best shop in Rockaway. As a female who knows nothing about cars, going to a mechanic can be intimidating. When I go to Ted's, I can be confident that my car will be fixed quickly, correctly, and that I'm getting a fair price. Ted is super friendly and always reassuring.. and yes, HONEST. He treats everyone who walks through the door with kindness and respect. Every time I go there, its like visiting family.

This is a no "BS" repair shop. I love these guys, you drop your car, they'll tell you what's wrong with it and how much it'll cost you and most of the time it'll be ready the same day if not by the next day. When you go see these guys, you will not return to the shop with the same problem you had, they fix it for good one time.

Ted is the owner and the mechanic at the shop so he’s to blame for works that is “done” and you have to come back for this man is the what all people with car trouble don’t need. To go get something fixed to have to come back and get the same thing fixed AGAIN or worse just so he can take your money!

Owner and his main mechanic are good guys. Jobs are reasonably priced. Ted's has been a Neighborhood fixture for many years.

If I could put zero stars I would! This man charged me for labor and a USED piece and I had to COME BACK so he can do it again cause he welded it wrong. THIS MAN IS A CONARTIST DONT COME HERE TO GET WORK DONE!!! You will be coming back to spend more money and time!
