Gary at SLK is a pleasure to work with - I brought my mom’s car in for service because she had several maintenance alerts. I was worried about getting it serviced on time because she was planning on taking a trip out of state and I didn’t feel safe with her driving so far with her transmission needing maintenance. Gary listened to the concerns, treated me with respect (when most mechanics tend to talk down to women or seem to avoid transparency), and was clear with his pricing. I was terrified this would cost me an arm and a leg but his prices were far more reasonable than the dealership and almost $150 less than my former mechanic in Sunset Park. He was able to address all of the issues (oil change, transmission fluid replacement, drive train error, and replace the rear break pads in the same day. Driving home I could feel the difference in the transmission, how much smoother it was to shift when parking. So glad to have found SLK for all my car maintenance!

Excellent Work! Gary took me right away for a slow tire leak. He put it up on the lift and took the wheel off. Bent rim, told me of a place 5 minutes away to have it straightened. There was NO CHARGE for putting it up on the lift and taking the wheel off and spraying water on it to find the leek. He also noticed a water leak (water pump needed replacing) and bad front rotors. Called him Tuesday morning to have the work done, took me right away, once again and had the car back to me the following day, as promised. Very impressed

I've been taking my car here for years, and now my sister does too. Cars can be tricky to diagnose, so anyone complaining about bait and switch doesn't understand the process. Gary always checks with me before doing any work beyond what was discussed, and I appreciate his honesty. They work quickly, which cuts down on the hourly fees. They keep my old car running!
