Service Center - East Hills Chevrolet of Douglaston

Just had a very bad experience at this service department came in for an oil change and after leaving the shop driving maybe 5 minutes my car alerts me that has low oil thought maybe had to reset the oil sensor and kept driving a short time later same alert pops back up at that point shut the car off let it cool down and checked my dip stick to find out it was dry to the bone and pulled over to a local mechanic shop to make sure i wasn’t imagining the dry dip stick after a mechanic confirmed you have no oil took it bak to this chevy shop the tech that was there after telling him what was goin on he checks the dip stick and automatically says ill redo the oil change without hesitation so obviously at that moment realized they never put oil and then as he is “redoing” the oil change calls me into the shoo and says might be a sensor or oil pressure pump something that the car has never alerted me about before this oil change probably not trying to acknowledge that one of his other technicians didn’t do their job right so instead of being up front about it sayin hey someone dropped the ball we will look into it he tries to blame my car sensors so moral of the story if you get an oil change at this location probably should sadly check your own dip stick before you leave the site

I am writing to formally express my deep dissatisfaction with the unprofessional service I received at your Chevrolet service department last week. I brought my vehicle in for three specific issues, yet your staff did not seem to know what those issues were, and I was later told that all three had been completed—when in fact only one had been addressed. This misinformation was unacceptable. Additionally, I was told I would be contacted when the necessary part arrived, this was monday but it has now been three days with no update. I also never received a callback when the vehicle was supposedly ready, which reflects a serious lack of communication and professionalism. Furthermore, when I asked about the complimentary car wash, I was told that “we don’t trust our detail shop” and we don’t want any damages happen to my car, so it was intentionally not offered. This explanation was both inappropriate and unprofessional. I request an immediate update on the pending part and a clear explanation of how these lapses in communication and service occurred, as well as what steps will be taken to prevent this in the future.

These are facts only…no emotions Oil change on my 2024 new vehicle 1- drive in at 3:25 pm ( they close at 6 pm). 2- intake attendant takes my car in. 3-I walk to the desk. They refuse to take me info. They literally refuse at 3:30 pm. 4-one tech raises his hands - saying I am leaving can’t do it ( 3:30 pm) they close at 6 pm 5- another guy is feasting on a meal out of a tin-foil plate looking at me not saying a thing doesn’t take a break from chewing. 6- the woman at the intake desk tells me I have to wait for the guy that’s leaving or the guy that’s eating. ( she is doing absolutely nothing ) 7- there is another guy there just staring in total shock as if he has never seen a customer before. 8- I just said ok…. I will take my car and leave. 9- The intake attendant apologized for his co workers. ( needless to say he was more frustrated than I was ) nice man….. 10- I would not trust this place to service my daughters bicycle ( never mind my car ) 11- they need a new crew, new management , new supervisor to make sure they are all working and respecting the clients that walk in. 12- I get better service and reception at Taco.Bell. 13- what is going on with American companies ? 14- I walked out smiling …. Knowing I will never ever return to this miserable place. Sorry to whoever the owners are . Shoot me an email and I will put together a strong profitable plan for you guys. You deserve better from the workers you hire. They are hurting your reputation and hurting Chevy .

It’s clearly posted they close at 4pm on Saturdays. My husband pulled in at the service center at 2:50pm and they didn’t want to do a basic oil change for his car.

Part came on time service picking it up was easy staff was very polite.
