First time dealing with Pep Boys Auto #1626 at 13929 Hillside Ave, and I had a great experience from start to finish. I called ahead to ask if an appointment was necessary, and the person on the phone was very nice, pleasant, and professional. He clearly explained the pricing and let me know that if I brought the car in right away, they should be able to service it. About 20 minutes later, I arrived at the store and was welcomed by a very professional and attentive team. They took care of me immediately. I was impressed by how efficiently they handled multiple customers at once, answering phones, helping another customer waiting for an estimate, and assisting me all at the same time while still remaining courteous and organized. After about 15 minutes, I asked if I could leave and return when the car was ready. Just 15 minutes later, I received a phone call, and since I missed it, they promptly followed up with an email letting me know my car was ready for pickup. When I returned about 30 minutes later, they even asked whether I wanted my invoice printed, emailed, or both, a thoughtful touch for customers who prefer to save paper. I chose the email option. The staff was friendly, the service was excellent, and the prices were unbeatable. I had a tire rotation and NYS inspection done on my Tesla, and the total came to only $20.88 including taxes. Very happy with Pep Boys and definitely coming back!

Great service on my tire rotation and balance on 5/17/2026. However communication during the process could be improved, I wasn't updated on the timing or progress. Drop my car at 9am, second customer in but did not get my car until 11:30am because I decided to go back to the store to inquire the status. Gone to this location plenty of time and it depend on who is managing the desk.

I think over the years, the reputation of this company is going down the drain. Been a valued customer for a year plus but recent service got me skeptical about the whole thing. Had a service on one day and the next day the car failed.

Had my car towed in due to a coolant leak. The gentleman at the front desk, Mike was very polite and attentive. He explained the issue to me and was honest about the services needed which will be better performed by a dealer due to the parts required. The problems with the car itself was very hectic but Mikes professionalism made it less frustrating.

This Pep Boys location was awesome. I needed a battery for my car and the minute I walked in Mari at reception was warm and welcoming, and was immediate to address my issue. It was towards the end of their day too, but they didn’t hesitate to help once they did a survey of my vehicle, got the right battery and Zack & Jacob was on the job and worked quickly and efficiently! My car is now running again and in good shape! Should I have any future auto needs I will definitely be back. Thank you all for the kind service.
