NY DMV CAR INSPECTION STATION

Every time I've been here the main mechanic, Muhammad, makes some new thing up that's wrong with the car. Apparently, everything from my coolant sensor one day to my axle bushings the next, to a number of other things the third. Every time, the next shop I take the car to sees none of the things he tried to nail me for. Go here if you want to get scammed. Dishonest, seedy establishment.

Waited over 2 hours for a NYS car inspection after repeatedly told it would be 30mins. Waste of time.

Mohammed is incredible!!! My car is pretty old, and he's always figured out what the issue is and doesn't rip you off. He gets the job done quickly and efficiently and is a true pleasure to work with. He's a mechanic you can trust, which is hard to come by these days.

Great place. Competent and professional. The mechanic explained everything clearly when I asked him. Only 4 stars because of scheduling. They don't do appointments, more general times. Appointments would be better I think. Makes timing the day difficult. So factor in extra time, especially since there might be something unexpected with your car that needs to be fixed.

One star is too generous. We got our tire changed here last week and just drove on it for the first time. Lug nuts were loose and we almost lost our tire on the highway.
