New Storm Car Service

I recently booked a ride with New Storm Car Service from Staten Island to the Bronx. Overall the trip got me where I needed to go, which is why I’m leaving 4 stars, but there were a few things that could definitely be improved. From what I understand, the company owns vehicles, but my last-minute call seemed to be brokered out to an affiliate driver. The vehicle itself wasn’t in the best condition. The back seat felt more like a hard bench with upholstery — almost like sitting in the back of a police car — rather than a comfortable car service seat. During the trip the driver was also going extremely fast, at one point around 90 mph on the New Jersey Turnpike, which made the ride feel a bit unsafe. On top of that, the dispatch interaction could have been more professional. The person on the phone was a bit rude and spoke very casually, using phrases like “yeah bro,” which isn’t really the level of professionalism you’d expect from a car service. Overall I made it to my destination, but I think the company should make sure their affiliate drivers and dispatch team maintain the same standards as their main fleet.

Horrible service, absolutely zero respect for the time of their clients and will make you wait disrespectful times. Never riding again pause.

I for one had a good experience with this car service. They pick you up within 5 to 10 mins like they say and they do/can give you the price up front. Yes at times you may have to share the cab with strangers but this only happens when there are short on drivers. Over all the drives are good and on time.

By far, the worst car service ever. They don’t tell you if they don’t have a driver they just tell you 5-10 mins make you wait and have you thinking a car is coming. Before you know it, 45 minutes pass and the car is still 5 minutes away. They will make you late no matter how early you call them. Their customer service sucks. I wonder how are they still in business?
