The wait time is out of this world. A few years ago this company had their stuff together. I would call everyday to go to and home from work. They would give you an accurate time. The night dispatcher has actually called me warning it may be a few more minutes. Now, it's a mess. I understand they are not physics. They cannot give you an exact time. But there is a big difference between 15 minutes and 45. Today's wait time was 20 minutes. It's took 50 minutes. On top of that, the morning dispatcher has a constant attitude. Despite that, I continue to use them because most of the drivers are great. They are pleasant to ride with, they apologize for the wait, and they will make a stop to the store without charging sometimes. When the dispatchers get their act together, and can give even a somewhat accurate wait time, I'll be happy to change my rate.

If I could leave negative stars I would. Called for the car at 9:25, dispatcher said it would arrive in 30 minutes. 55 minutes later the driver arrives with other passengers in the car. I had called twice since my initial call and no one communicated a second stop with different passengers. I called after to explain my frustration with the company and the dispatcher yelled at me as I tried to explain my side with the attitude of a frustrated customer. She had absolutely no customer service experience. I'm a manager and would fire any employee under me for speaking to a paying customer the way she did. Do people realize paying customers help put food on their table??? Everyone should be grateful for the business and I will definitely never use this service again and dissuade everyone I know from using it. Uber and Lyft are putting these places out of business and had it not been for Mother's Day scarce amount of drivers, they would've received my business.

Unfortunately, my family and I had a horrendous experience coming home from our trip. After waiting for 15 minutes, I was told by the dispatcher, "what do you want us to do? Fly over traffic?" Extremely discourteous with absolutely no speaking skills whatsoever. Our driver, Freddy, was phenomenal and courteous. But the dispatcher ruined the experience. Next time, I stick to having family and friends pick us up for free and we won't get stuck waiting aimlessly dealing w disrespectful people.

I have been using Mid Island for at least 20 years. Going to and from airports, and on occassion local trips when for some reason or other my car might have been unavailable. I will NEVER use them again. I just called, and explained that I was waiting for a call from a Staten Island hospital where I am supposed to undergo ambulatory surger tomorrw , with info as to what time to appear. I was told that when I find out the time I should call them back the morning of the surgery and IF THERE IS A CAR AVAILABLE, they will send it. I explained that I cannot wait till the last minute to order a car and find out that there are none available, and then start seeking a ride somehow. I was struck by the seemingly uncaring attitude towards my predicament of the dispatcher, and his unwillingness to work with me on this situation. I dialed another car service. Not only were they several dollars cheaper, but they were very understanding, and asked me to call them as soon as I hear from the hospital today so they can go about arranging to reserve a car for tomorrow at the needed time.

Called for a ride to my house from the mall...dispatcher said 10 minutes ... Half an hour later no car! I called again and they said another 5 minutes....10 minutes later the car comes. Next, I needed the car to into Brooklyn. Two days ago it was 52+ toll. Today to go to the same address was 60+ toll! Lady was very rude when I explained I paid less literally two days ago. Would rate less than 1 if I could, very unreliable!
