Edit *** since leaving this review and sending an email to Marty's, the manager called me to discuss the issue and my concerns and offered to make things right. I am pleased with the outcome and their willingness to make things right and not be a shiesty mechanic. Thank you. Extremely disappointed with Marty's. I have been using them for inspections for my own vehicle, as well as my bosses luxury vehicles for years and never had any issues. The former manager, Chris, was awesome and super friendly. About a month ago (FEB 2), I took my car in , coming off a 3 hour drive, where my car was shaking the entire time. Unbeknownst to me, a woman who knows nothing about cars, the issue was that there was snow / ice build up in the tires / wheel wells that was causing the shaking. I was worried about it because I had to make another 3 hour drive the following day, so immediately took it to Marty's. They charged me $1,000 for a tire rotation, wheel balance and claimed they replaced the control arm(s). I have since taken it to the dealership mechanic and told them what Marty's claimed to have done, showed them the invoice detailing said work and the dealership mechanic confirmed they absolutely did not replace the control arm as they claimed. There is rust on the control arm (there wouldn't be if they replaced it with a new one), the bolts are factory bolts from when I bought it, there are no wrench marks from the mechanic at Marty's trying to remove it. Furthermore, the mechanic at Marty's claimed my control arm was "bent" which is why it needed to be replaced and what was causing the shaking, which has now been proven false considering I still have the original control arm from when the car was purchased brand new. From what I understand, if the control arm was indeed bent, it wouldn't be drivable at all. Additionally, the dealership showed me how much they charge for things like tire rotation and and wheel balance and it was a fraction of the cost compared to Marty's. Really disappointed and feeling like I got incredibly taken advantage of not only because I'm a woman, but because I clearly knew nothing about cars. I will not be using nor recommending Marty's to anyone in the Chelsea area. Truly so disappointed, they literally made $1k off me for defrosting my car.

Awesome service done well, timely and around my schedule. Great location, the last of the great 212 auto repair/body shops! Got a car you love, an old beast maybe, trust it will be well kept at Marty's!

Reasonable price for state inspection, available for walk in / drive up on a Saturday during garage hours. Friendly, I would definitely consider for other services due to location and professionalism.
