Find another shop. This is not your place for engine issues. PLEASE READ for the reason why: ⬇️⬇️⬇️ I went to JFK Auto Repair with mostly dominican mechanics for a check engine light on a Ford Taurus 2015. I was clear and told them what I replaced myself, the codes that I knew when I scanned my car with my scanner, and the things that I wanted them to do as a way of deleting possible problems. I said to try doing a compression test, and/or put it up in the air in order to tell if there was an exhaust leak somewhere in the undercarriage, along with other things such as what it seemed like a strangely behaving internal coolant leak. I let them know that I replaced a 3 different parts in the engine and unfortunately, all I went to do is get charged $30 for them to ONLY erase the codes, something I could've done myself with my OWN scanner. I still remember the mechanic who asked me if I "reprogrammed" the parts I replaced, which I said no since I didn't know I was supposed to. However, I did some self-research, and the parts I replaced (such as coil pack, spark plug and fuel injector) did not need to be reprogrammed since they don't have a computer/module in them for that to be even possible. I believe they didn't really know what they were speaking about, or they were just extremely busy and distracted. I would give them the benefit of the doubt on that. However, if you run a mechanic shop business, you are supposed to learn how to deal with those type of things. In conclusion, the people there will NEVER disrespect you, I would say they are chill, but not 100% serious in my opinion. Told them to do certain things, and they did NOT do any of those. No compression test, no coolant leak diagnose. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.

Amazing guys and amazing work. Very honest pricing and helped diagnose and replace suspension parts. Changed a ball joint and all 4 shock/struts & springs. There is always a reason they are busy. I live in queens driving here to have them work on my car. Thank You guys.

My personal experience was good, but they didn't solve my problem. They are good at changing parts. Brakes, batteries, starters, etc; but they can not diagnose a problem, I ended up leaving with the same issue, and I still had to pay $40. I'm still looking for a good mechanic in the area.

I passed by this shop after buying auto parts a few doors down and I decided to get a quick quote on rear strut replacements. I was initially planning to do it myself after getting very high priced quotes from other shops, but after talking with Ignacio and Frank, I pulled up my car within minutes. Not only do they offer great prices, they are very friendly and straight forward mechanics. I will definitely be referring these guys and coming back for future needs.
