Very disappointing experience. I brought my vehicle in for a heater system repair, and it took 22 days before I finally got my car back. The delay was excessive. On top of that, my vehicle was damaged while in their care. The door was hit against a lift or equipment during service, resulting in visible damage. This kind of incident is completely unacceptable and should never happen in a professional repair shop. Overall, poor communication, extremely long repair time, and damage caused to my vehicle. I would not recommend this place and will not be returning.

The care and assistance that I received from Melody was far beyond my expectations. This was my first experience at Island Chevrolet Service and I will definitely be returning but only if I am assisted by Melody. My first appointment with a different advisor was frustrating, as I was told that I would have to leave my car for several days to assess the reason for the check engine light. I chose to leave and reschedule my appointment. Upon my return for the second attempt, I was assisted by the amazing Melody who had my car diagnosed, repaired and smelling fresh as new in the record time of one hour. Her expertise, support, reassurance and, because of her professionalism, the ease of the whole experience was very much appreciated.
View on GoogleUnimpressed. I thought the Island locations were owned by the same people but apparently not. I was a huge fan of Island Subaru and the customer service they offer, but Island Chevrolet has proven to be a completely different experience. I plan to look for another Chevrolet to take my vehicle too. 1. False advertising- the free pick up and drop off service posted outside is false. Island Subaru used to offer a shuttle service for customers but Island Chevrolet does not have anything of this nature. You have to make your own way home if they think your car is going to be a while. 2. I went early on a Saturday morning and was told that my car would be at least a few days while they reviewed the engine light issue, but no loaners were available (and of course no shuttle to drop you home). 3. No military or first responder discounts on service like Island Subaru offered. 4. Overall unimpressed by the customer service. Island Subaru was such a welcoming, hospitable environment where the employees treated one another like family and in turn treated their customers as such. They remembered you by name and went out of their way to ensure you had a good experience there. 5. No free car wash after service (unlike Island Subaru). UPDATE 12/17/25: The Island President personally called me today in regards to my review and was very professional, understanding and pleasant to speak with. He mentioned the service centers are being upgraded so hopefully they will have car wash etc capabilities in the future. Unfortunately, until then, I am leaving my review the same just because the comparison to Subaru is second to none all around.
View on GoogleThe experience at the Service Area was terrific. Tom Young could not have been more nicer or helpful. My husband is very happy with the performance and the way his truck is riding. The telephone system leaves a lot to be desired. I called into the phone system to speak twice with someone who transferred me first to the Hyundai dealership and then the GMC dealership. Third time was the charm and I was transferred to Chevrolet.
View on GoogleI have to say that my experience was excellent. Melody Maione took care of me and madesure that everything Was good. She went out of her way to make sure that my car was very well taken care of. I’ve never had a problem with her. She’s always been professional, courteous and very, very helpful.. The only thing I would say that has nothing to do with her is that once again I was without a car and I couldn’t get a loaner from the Chevy dealer so I had to pay $80 in one day to my doctors appointment the only thing I would say is they really need to improve on that because it doesn’t matter whether I bought my car there or not what matters is that I’m taking my car there for service and it’s not like it’s for free they are getting paid to get the job done So I have to say on that note is the only thing that I could say negative about my service But once again, I’m gonna say it Melody Was very, very helpful. I’m glad that I had her helping me out.
