Flatfix Tire Shop

Great experience here. Tire light kept coming on even after adding air. Turns out two tires had valves that needed to be replaced. Cost us $70 total, cash only (35 per valve). Priced were posted at the shop so I didn't feel like I was getting ripped off. He fixed the valves and checked air in the other two tires while we waited. Took no more than 20-30 min. Will gladly return if we have any other tire issues.

Jackson Heights native pitching in -- Most other shops between Astoria and Northern have low reviews. FLATFIX is the only place I saw above 4 stars. I called ahead to check the price for mounting and balancing 4 new tires (purchased outside). I'm bad with names but the owner of the place, I think Joel, picks up and answers very kindly. He tells me the best price I've heard, not just in town, but even better prices than what I've been getting from shops in Jamaica. He tells me they're not busy today and just come through. With no further shopping around, I'm there. Convenient location. The building is labeled ASTORIA SOUND, can't miss it. Within 2 minutes, someone asking me "how can I help". Other places don't even look at you! I said "Hi, I called about 4 tires mounting and balancing?" He said "Oh, I remember, I got you right now". Two employees jack up my car and get it done fast. Great conversation with the owner passed the time. He shows me his vintage vehicle collection -- This man is an enthusiast and loves cars. He puts integrity and customer care first. He is quick to state what can and cannot be done to your car, and it's clear to me he prioritizes the safety of the work, NOT the money. I trust this shop to work on my beloved car. Because they love cars here. I did not receive any discount or free services for this review -- Just writing this because I feel they truly deserve it.

I brought my car in for balancing the tires. They found the tears on the tires. I had them Replaced (2) damaged tires, balancing all (4) tires with a reasonable cost. It took about an hour. Pretty fast service. Cash only. They recommend me to bring the car back in 3-4 months for a tire rotation. Recommended this place

U can fix small tire problem here but never buy new tire here at all , they don’t own tire , they will order from other store and put double the price , there is one short Mexican guy who gave me one price at front and later ask me to pay double , or threatening to take off my tire … there are hundred of tire store out there I don’t know what he think of himself , I feel sorry for his behavior , that double price won’t make him riich or make me poor , I even call the store owner , he says he will talk to him and cal me back , but did not get any respond from him either , so I think it’s important for me to let public know this .. “
