Fine Tune Auto

Driving home on I-95 my tire started to lose pressure but I managed to make it as far as Eastchester Road before it was flat. I tried to change it (in pouring rain) using the crappy jack I had. It took forever but I finally got the tire off when the car moved and fell off the jack. There was no way I was going to get that car off the ground. I was told a repair shop was close and went to fine tune auto. It was almost 4:00 so I wasn’t sure I would get help. I spoke to the boss Larry who told me he would help once it stopped pouring. A few minutes later (still raining) he grabbed a jack and a few tools and walked with me to my car. Jacked up the car and put the spare on for me. He never mentioned money but told me to drive to his shop because even the spare needed air. When I got there he filled the spare and even checked the flat. He saved the day for me. I had my wife and grandchildren in the car and would have had to call a tow truck and be at their mercy. Larry I will never forget your kindness! I would recommend him wholeheartedly. A kind and honest man.

Very disappointing experience. I brought a Range Rover in for a pre-purchase inspection and waited over 45 minutes before anyone looked at it. Once the vehicle was on the lift, the inspection lasted only a few minutes. The diagnosis was vague—“maybe it’s this, maybe it’s that”—with no clear answers and no estimate for repairs. The overall attitude felt dismissive, and I left without any confidence in the assessment. I would not recommend this shop !! At some point, he put the car on the lift and left it for at least 20 minutes. The lift was slowly tilting almost flipping the car over, the top of the car hit the wall light.

My car was leaking oil last week and I randomly found this shop near my school. They used 1 day to find the problem and 1 day to solve this after I paid. Super wonderful service with all details about how and why! Make me feel like my money 100% worth and they also solved the problem completely!!!! The acceleration even becomes more smooth!!!! Fair price! I will set this shop as my always! Love!!!!

Larry at Fine Tune Auto was always the best. He was always honest, friendly, and professional. I lived in the Bronx for 4 years during medical school & he took care of everything. I had to keep going back to him even after I left the Bronx because I could find an honest mechanic where I was living. I wish there was a Larry where I live now!!

What a fantastic place! I am new to the neighborhood and was in need of a new, trustworthy mechanic. I came across a Facebook post where Larry was highly recommended. Larry was so polite and helpful. His wife who works at the desk was so pleasant. I needed my car inspected as well as an oil change and told them whatever else needed to be done to go right ahead, yet they kept me informed along the way and was not pushy or greedy. They found a few minor things like my antifreeze needed a top off and a brake light replaced. Found my new mechanic 💗
