El Barrio’s Car Service

I have been a loyal client of this cab service for over three decades and have relied on it daily through many chapters of my life. I call this cab service every day to get to and from work, so dependable service is extremely important to me. Unfortunately, my recent experience has been extremely disappointing. I have been calling repeatedly, and the level of unprofessionalism from the dispatcher is astonishing. His failure to answer my calls and the way he has treated me has left me outside in the cold with my phone on a low battery, unsure of how I am going to get home. I have never experienced such neglect or blatant disrespect from your staff. When I asked for the dispatcher’s full name, he identified himself only as “Joel” and claimed he did not have a last name, which I found highly concerning and inappropriate. As a long-time customer, I expect a much higher standard of service and accountability. I would appreciate it if this matter is addressed promptly to ensure that no other customers are treated in this manner.

I use El Barrio to go Saint Raymond Cemetery they over charge me 40.00 dollars, it was a small car. I ask why so high and the taxi driver said cause the gasoline went high. I told him it only went 2.00 dollars up. Coming back I use a different car service and they charge me 28.00 I ask how the company gets their price. They said by the mile. It is 7 miles to the cemetery 4.00 each mile I would not recommend this company to anybody, they over charge people Be careful with this company cause they put that the taxi goes through a toll and they charge the passenger a toll fee 7.46. That is why they over charge me. The taxi went through Third Ave Bridge and didn't pay any toll Beware of this company, I personally would not recommend this company to anybody

Recently I had made a call and the driver tried to threaten me, he said it’s a new policy you have to pay first then get to your destination, mind you he drove me around the corner then he said that to me I told him I have my money but I need to get to my destination first. el bario is my go to car service and I never ran out on them. So I told him to let me out, I had to walk back to my original destination and call again but I cancelled and ordered a Lyft

Horrible experience, Horrible Dispatcher, She calls a cab tells me i cant pay by card so i waste money by taking money out of the nearest atm, Tells my wife 2 minutes for the cab 5 minutes pass she sees us tells us nothing then i go inside to see if theres any news she looks at me and says you guys are still here? I thought ya left because the taxi left already, im like no we are obviously still standing here, a whole 30 mins wasted because someone doesnt know how to properly do her job.

I dropped my AirPods in a drivers car coming from Costco & didn’t remember to pick it up whiles moving my stuff. I called the car service to contact the driver not even a full 10 mins after & they said he wasn’t answering & that they’d get back to me. I waited 30 minutes & had to call again twice, they hung up the first time then on the second call said they got him & he checked with a flash light & saw nothing. It wasn’t on the seat when I got up so it’s under it but they don’t really care to actually look for it & just dismissed me. As if dealing with a rude driver wasn’t enough in the first place.
