I've been using Eastern for 3-plus years, they have super competitive rates and the drivers are always early!

I honestly don’t get the low ratings. We’ve been using this service for ourselves and many guests for about 15 years to go to airports and never had an issue. Drivers are usually on time and safe driving and cars always clean.

I know many reviews for Eastern Car Service aren’t glowing, but I’ve personally had agreat experience with them—multiple times! I’ve never used them for airport pickup before, but I have used them several times to get to JFK and Newark, and they’ve always arrived early, which I really appreciated. This time, I scheduled a pickup from JFK over the phone right before boarding my flight from Orlando, requesting a 9 PM pickup. While midair, I received a text that my driver was on the way, including an ETA and a live location tracker. Once I landed, I got another message saying a different driver was coming instead. I called the base to find out what happened, and they explained that the original driver’s car had broken down—but they had immediately assigned a new driver, who was just minutes away. Sure enough, the new driver arrived quickly. There was a lot of traffic at the JetBlue terminal due to roadwork, but the driver called me directly, communicated clearly, and updated me on his exact location. The ride from JFK to Kensington, Brooklyn was just $55 for four passengers and four carry-ons in a sedan—which I thought was a great deal. The car was clean, the driver was very sweet and safe, and we got home comfortably. Overall, I was really impressed. The communication was excellent, the pricing was very reasonable, and the service was smooth. I’ll definitely continue using Eastern Car Service and recommend giving them a try!

Never showed up. When I called they put me on hold and never picked back up. We had to take 2 separate Ubers instead and were all late despite having a significant buffer of time. Arecibo has never been late. Use them instead of Eastern Car Service.

DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE IF YOU CARE FOR YOUR SAFETY!! I just had the most terrible experience with our drive to the airport. Upon scheduling, the service provider assured us the drive includes use of the midtown tunnel. However immediately after the driver picked us, they went the other way to avoid it. This made our drive almost 30 min. Longer! When I suggested to the driver we are in the opposite direction, they started yelling and threatening. We were assured we could pay with Venmo on the phone, but upon arrival the driver said we can only pay cash and returned to threatening we need to "figure it out". The whole drive, the driver was reckless, making extremely sharp turns and almost hit other cars, twice!! We were very fearful for our lives! We will never use this service ever again, and would advise anyone to avoid it at all costs!
