I had a very disappointing experience with Corona Muffler Shop and Dragon Tire Shop, both operated by Alberto Jaramillo. I brought my 2016 Toyota Sienna in for a P0430 code. Alberto scanned the vehicle and told me I needed a bank 2 catalytic converter. We agreed on a price, and I left the car at the 36th Ave location. The next day, I was told to pick it up from the Northern Blvd location. Shortly after, the same code came back. I took the vehicle to another mechanic, who confirmed that bank 2 had not been replaced. When I called Alberto, he incorrectly stated that bank 2 is located in the rear of the vehicle. After I explained the correct location, he said he has too many customers and does not remember the job. When I returned, he then claimed he replaced bank 1 instead, and accused me of being dishonest. During the conversation, he also stated that “this car has a lot of problems,” despite previously saying he didn’t remember working on it. He then offered to “fix it” for an additional charge—half of what I already paid. So after paying $850 for the wrong repair, he expected another $425 to correct it. When I asked for a receipt, he wrote my car’s make and model on a business card without verifying it and listed “bank 1 replacement,” which contradicts the original agreement. He also initially said he accepts card payments, but after the job was completed, he insisted on cash only. Additionally, I have concerns about the Northern Blvd location, as it does not appear to be a DMV-registered repair shop. I will be reporting this matter to the appropriate authorities (DMV) and pursuing it in small claims court. Overall, this experience was unprofessional and misleading. I strongly advise others to proceed with caution.

I had a catalytic converter theft and called the number for Corona Muffler Shop inside the salvage yards at The old Shea Stadium (now Citifield) automotive parts and service zone. Alberto picked up and told me of his new location at Dragon Tire Shop at 101-12 Northern Blvd. He was extremely communicative (easy to understand with clear English), willing to work with me on time and price. The man took care of business on a Sunday and for a very, very competitive price. He does good, clean MIG welding with a Miller welder. He had the catalyst installed along with a flex pipe and had me up and running in no time. He's got a lift and a pipe bender to make custom exhaust too. He does general mechanic work and his shop sells new, used tires and rims. I cannot stress how good it is to have someone like him running an auto repair business in the neighborhood. He's only a phone call away, willing to put in off hours and works for a reasonable rate. He's also an honest guy and that means you are in good hands, in a pinch and he's going to get you back up and running. All the success in the world to you Alberto! Thank you!

I would say the best deal I ever got on used Tyree. Highly recommended. I checked all the shops near by ended up buying here.

This used tires store is very bad 👎 store I went over there there change the used tires, he straight away a take off my tires, I said stop it 🛑, I said I need deal the price n show me the tires first, n must same brand, he said ok,but he bring me different brand 😢, I said I don't want it, he find another one very unhappy, then he change the tire installed my tires, I said why no balancing my tires?? He no need, need extra charge balancing, this store is cheating n very bad bad store, I suggest don't do the tires in this store ！！
