Costco Tire Service Center

Not a good experience here. I order tires for my car and had it shipped to this location for installation. Had an appointment and everything seemed to be going smoothly. First sign of hiccup was when one of the techs told me if I was aware I ordered non run flats for my car and I told him yes. He said he can do the installation but there would be no warranty and I said no problem. Five minutes later the manager Anthony comes out and says they will not install the tires since they were not run flats. I told him I no longer wanted run flats on the car because I didn’t like them and were super expensive to replace. He told me to blame Lexus for putting run flats on and not providing a spare tire. I told him I was already prepared with a can of fix a flat in the trunk in the event i get a flat and he said doesn’t matter. I told him my insurance cover towing. He said doesn’t matter, it’s a safety issue as Lexus designed to cars to only run on run flats. It’s a safety issue but I can take the tires with me but have it installed elsewhere. If it’s a safety issue why not just cancel the sale? The fact the other tech had already told me installing these tires would void the warranty tells me they’ve done it before but just wanted to be difficult here. I ended up taking the tires to a different location and they did the installation for me with no issues. Even the manager there asked me why didn’t they install it for me at the original location. My guess is they were swamped and they look for an excuse to turn away customers when they have the chance to do so. Do yourself a favor and avoid this location. Not worth the headache.

I purchased 2 tires for my truck at this location. I scheduled an appointment to have them installed for yesterday at 11:30am. I got there at 11am, just waned to drop the car and then go and do shopping, hopping that they will replace the tires while I do the shopping. The guy in front told me that I was early, that I need to come in on scheduled time at 11:30am. When I came back at 11:30am, they said the weight time is 2 to 2-1/2 hours. Why then make the appointment???? I demanded the refund and when and got the tires done at a tire shop in Hylan Blvd. Turns out, they had a better price then Costco. The whole point of getting tires replaced at Costco is the convenience of getting it done while you shop, and if they can't do that then what's the point??? Did I mention that the staff is rude...it feels like they are trying to convince you not to buy the tires there

Today 09/14/24 I had a 4:30 appointment to install new tires I purchased on 08/30/24 from Costco online. I arrived at 3:15 and decided to go to the shop office to check in. I spoke to a young lady who looked up my order and instructed me to put their shop marker on the roof of my car and return with my key. She would try and get me in early if someone canceled. At 4:23 I received a call from the same girl who said there was a problem with my order. She said that my credit card was not charged for the tires. I explained I had an email receipt and an email stating that the tires were delivered. But if my Costco credit card was not charged then charge it for the 1700 dollars and get the tires done. She was ok with that and hung up. Very helpful young lady. Five minutes later my phone rings again this time “Danny” , apparently a tire “manager” , tells me I have to come back in. That the work would not be done till I pay for the tires. So I make another trip to Costco to find “Danny” on the phone with the warehouse. I ask, What’s the issue? He says “I don’t know but we will get to the bottom of this” . He puts me on the phone with the warehouse supervisor and they ask me to agree to cancel the order and put it thru as a new order. OK, I’m in, I just want my new tires and be on my way. They ring me up for the tires and say they are going to start the work. Two hours late”Dan” comes into the waiting room with my key and a lug nut. He says that one of the drivers front tire lug nuts was cross threaded and he would not let the tech put it back on. I told Dan that the only tire that was EVER removed from the car was the rear passenger to have it repaired. At this point I had enough The car is a 2020 with only 11000 miles on it. The Pirelli P Zero's did not work well for my needs so I decided to switch to the Michelin Pilot sport. Upon finding my car and looking at the new tires they looked like used tires. Scuffed and filthy. My wife actually asked me if they were really new tires. I used Costco tire before and never had a problem. It was a convenience and I have been a member for over 20 years. NEVER AGAIN

Ordered with Costco online, then cancelled my order with no prior notification so I was just waiting and waiting and when I decided to check in on my on order, that’s when I realized it was cancelled. So I called asked what happened. Rep on the phone said we can’t find you order so come in and show us the email. So after I got off, I did and they still say the same exact thing, so what’s the point of telling me to drive all the way to them to get the same answer! Staff was unfriendly and rude, and the wait time is just awful. Was expecting to save a bit on install since they include it with tire purchase, but the staffs rude and unfriendly attitude was a big turn off and didn’t even offer to assist in any way. I rather take my money else where…

Very bad experience. I received a message saying the tires were in stock and that I could schedule an installation appointment. I drove there and spent about 1.5 hours waiting. After all that time, the employee named Daniel told me they could sell me the tires, but then suddenly said they only found one tire instead of two. This makes no sense and shows very poor inventory management. If your system says the tires are available and you confirm an appointment, that should mean something. My time was completely wasted. No real apology and no solution offered. Very disappointing service.
