1 star - Bait and switch on brake parts Brought my car in for a full brake job. All four rotors and pads. Negotiated with Krish (Cliff’s son who runs the shop now) and agreed on $680 for Centric medium-tier parts. When I went to check on the car, I noticed a ProMax RotoMax box on the floor. ProMax is a budget brand, way cheaper than Centric. I took photos and asked the mechanic Akash what parts were installed. He said “I don’t know, I just put them on.” When I pointed to the RotoMax box, he suddenly said “it’s not those.” So he doesn’t know what’s on the car, but can somehow confirm it’s not the box sitting right there? Make it make sense. I checked the brake pads myself—part number 57-1125 stamped right on them. Looked it up: ProMax Select 57, their economy line. Not Centric. When I pushed back, Akash told me to sit down. Then Krish got on the phone and started talking in circles. First saying we agreed to “below Centric,” then saying “OEM is Centric.” None of it added up. When I held firm, he offered to swap in the actual Centric parts for $800. So I paid $680 for budget parts, and he wanted another $120 to give me what we originally agreed to? Here’s the real math: ∙ Centric Premium parts (what I agreed to): $205-265 retail ∙ ProMax parts (what they installed): $115-150 retail ∙ Fair price for a ProMax brake job in Queens: $500-575 ∙ What I paid: $680 ∙ Overcharged by: roughly $100-130 The brakes work fine—that’s not the issue. The issue is agreeing to one thing, getting another, and then getting the runaround when you catch it. It’s a shame they have to operate like this. I feel bad for other folks who don’t know what fair prices look like and just trust the shop. In this day and age you can look up part numbers and prices in two minutes if you’re a little search handy. I don’t recommend this place unless it’s an emergency and you have no other choice. If you do come here, get the brand in writing before they start work. And check the boxes before you pay.

Very fast, reliable honest, trustworthy work done here. Everyone is so nice. As a female I did not feel like they were trying to take advantage of me or my pockets.
