Paid $400 for valve covers installed — car came back with vacuum leak, check engine light, and no response from owner. I had two new valve covers i brought to get installed at Martinez Antoneti Auto Repair (1986 Atlantic Ave, Brooklyn) for $400. The owner originally quoted me $450 for 4 different things(valve adjustment, install my VVT solenoid, Install my 2 camshaft gaskets) and then only did the valve covers. He charged me $400 anyway (dropped it from $450 on the spot) and gave me no receipt or invoice. Since I picked up the car on Thursday around 2 p.m., it now has a clear vacuum leak, the idle is unstable, and the Check Engine light came on with code P0174 (System Too Lean Bank 2). The car was running perfectly before this work. I texted him yesterday in Spanish with photos of the scanner and asked him to look at it today — zero response. The owner and the mechanic speak zero English so using google translate is a must. I do not recommend them. I live only 3 blocks away and wanted to keep business in the neighborhood but will never go back. update 4/5/26: Did my own smoke test and found the leak. They didnt transfer over the pcv valve from my old valve covers, they just left the hole in front valve cover sucking in air.

The owner Shorty is a horrible person, STAY AWAY! Sold me a used tire with a HOLE in it that was the wrong size. Made me come back then didn't have the tire, finally his guy agreed to refund me. I came back and after making me wait for him to finish eating, Shorty tried to keep $15 labor and wanted me to take back my old tire. Don't waste your time, take your business elsewhere.

Love this shop I have a 2007 Infiniti M35 that needes work due to it sitting for 7 months. The shop is family friendly as i brought my daughter inside to see how my car looked on the inside and the team was friendly to her as well. The owner name is shorty and his team do great work. They allow you to see the problem areas of your vehicle and explain the issues it would cause, all before fixing it. They give you the option, no hard selling or stressful decisions. The team even allows you to go back and research the problem yourself to see if its worth fixing or not. I rate these guys 5 out of 5! stop by and see them, have a chat they are loyal and honest people. Tell them ray sent you with the gray infiniti, you may see me around the shop too with my red scooby doo hat lol say wassup im cool as well.

This car repair workshop is very bad. They lack experience and have no communication skills. I asked them to fix the car, but they wasted my time and didn’t complete the repair. They even denied the agreement we had. The worst repair shop ever.

Would give no stars. Very little English. No English. Only shorty understands little. ALL ABOUT THE 💰 money. Messed up my a/c condenser installation. After an electrical issue was said to be a problem. He couldn't fix it, so he tried to send me to another mechanic on Eastern Parkway. Terrible. Wouldn't reimburse for part which was damaged during installation. Smh. PLEASE 🙏 STAY AWAY. KEEP YOU'RE BLOOD PRESSURE DOWN.
