Arecibo Car Service

I’ve been happily using Arecibo Car Service for over 20 years. Today, Zaman (driver #59) picked up my family from LaGuardia Airport, and the ride was comfortable, clean, and smooth, even through typical city traffic. On top of that, I accidentally left my backpack in the front seat, and Zamat went out of his way to make sure it was returned to me. I’m so appreciative of the care and kindness. Thank you!

I’d give no stars if possible. “Punctual service” as claimed in their advertisements and hold messages, is laughable. Also , as a medical ride they abandoned the ride purposely while continuing to book their other trips and deprioritizing my ride. My number was not answered as proven by my nurse calling for me, and being answered within minutes. After almost 2 hours waiting after my 6 hour infusion, while being pushed out of the building I was being picked up from, I was forced to find my own way home in the cold. I was told by customer service, after pleading for a ride… that they had no cars , and he “couldn’t perform a miracle, so just complain and don’t call back.” They had rides the whole time in fact , this was disproven when we ordered a ride directly from them 2 doors away for another patron. The lack of consideration, horrible customer service and never answering for patients who are abandoned in the cold, is unacceptable, and riders should refrain from using this service for their own safety .

If NO stars were possible I would rate exactly that. This is a terrible car service and I had a horrible experience today. They were supposed to facilitate medical car service for picking me up and dropping me off to my PRENATAL APPOINTMENT as my pregnancy is classified as HIGH RISK. They came a hour late for pick up and NEVER ARRIVED to drop me back off at home and the dispatcher told me I would need to “seek other other options to get home” I had to end up taking 2 trains and bus to get home all while enduring a high risk pregnancy. I will NEVER TAKE THIS CAR SERVICE AGAIN. I will also be filing complaints with the city against their company for leaving a HIGH RISK PREGNANT WOMAN STRANDED.

I’ve rarely been this disappointed by a company. I have made around 40 bookings so far, so I know them well. Today, they failed me big time as they didn’t take note of a phone reservation. I almost missed my flight. The worst? They didn’t take responsibility for their mistake, saying there is no recording of my booking. You bet there isn’t. Avoid at all costs!

Terrible service. I wish I could give them zero stars. My grandmother had a 10:30 pick up for a 12pm appointment from Brooklyn to Manhattan, and they never showed up. This company is unserious and doesn’t respect people’s time. I called 4 times and they kept putting me on hold. No cars available. I scheduled the pick up 1 week in advance. Never again. I had to reschedule the appointment. I will be reporting this to MAS.
