At 8 PM, I saw an open gate at this location and drove in to check if the shop was operating. Inside, there were two clearly intoxicated individuals — one of them was holding a bottle of beer. Obviously, no one was working. Suddenly, one of them got into his car and hit mine while reversing. I quickly got out and approached him, but he immediately ran back toward the workshop with his friend. While his friend was distracting me, the driver took off — driving away on the sidewalk. Thankfully, I managed to capture a photo of his license plate and a video of him leaving. His friend insisted that calling the police wasn’t necessary and that the shop owner would “handle everything tomorrow.” The whole situation felt completely surreal — I wasn’t even sure I was still in America. I’m currently waiting for the police to arrive.

It was just a terrible experience. On Saturday evening, I urgently needed to fix a broken bolt. I came to this service, and he told me, “Okay, no problem, I’ll do it on Sunday.” He would need to remove part of the pipe, take out the bolt, and weld everything back together. I agreed because that’s exactly what I needed. I came on Sunday, we agreed I would come at 10. Al arrived at 12 or almost 1. In the end, they spent 3 hours trying to unscrew the bolt, heating it, which was obviously not going to work. I needed part of the pipe cut out and welded back as we had agreed. Then at 4 PM, he said he was tired and needed to go home. As he was leaving, he said the car would need to stay for another day. Because of this, I had to rent a car. I needed my car, and that’s why I agreed to get it fixed at their shop, because they were ready to do it on Sunday. They cut out part of the pipe but welded it back with just a few tack welds instead of a continuous weld. It looks very bad and unsafe. Previously, these two beams were tightly joined together, but now there is a gap between them. This is a load-bearing beam that supports the engine, and I’m not sure if it’s safe. I will consult with other mechanics to ask if this is good or not. If they tell me it’s unsafe, I will be contacting a lawyer. I consider this a negligent approach to the work, which could lead to serious consequences. After picking up the car, I found that the connector mount on the radiator was broken. When I told Al about this, he said he didn’t know anything about it and didn’t do anything there. However, I saw his mechanic, who I saw over the three days I was there, drinking beer right in the workshop. He was drinking both while working and early in the morning. He was the one who removed the radiator. And I’m worried they may have damaged something else in the car that I haven’t noticed yet. After I picked up the car from the shop, the Check Engine light came on, which wasn’t there before.

If you can, go to a different shop. This is not trustworthy, it purposely broke my car so I pay more money. Scammers!

At this Repair Center in Brooklyn N.Y. I found excellent people and fantastic mechanic for my car. The owner is nice and honest.
