7125130 NYS inspection

First Experience: CASH ONLY!!! First time getting the NYS inspection done at this place for a 2025 model. Safety inspection costed $10 for 2025 & 2026 vehicle (2024 and down full inspection costs $37). Brought in my car at 7:30 am but the attendant at the gas station told they open up and 8:30 am, so incorrect opening hours on Google Maps. Inspection was done in 20 minutes and the attendant at the counter came in with the papers of another vehicle of the same make and informed me a bunch of stuff that wasn’t even for my vehicle, found that funny lol. Then he went inside to make sure he was giving me the right papers and what was even funnier is I handed him $40 from the initial conversation and he was giving me back the change for $37 prolly because in his head he still did not process it was not my car (or maybe thought I’m stupid and I’ll just take the change and head on out, I’m giving him the benefit of the doubt as there were many vehicles). Long story short I gave him the exact amount and it was done.

The new owner is very incompetent. I went to get a NYS Inspection. From the moment I walked in he seemed clueless on how to manage costumers. He told me he'll be done at maximum 2 hrs. I went back after 2 hrs, soaked in rain, and he made an excuse that his system was down because of rain and that everyone is having the same issue.. He took absolutely no responsibility for his bad costumer service and lack of communication. I walked into the next Gas station (Downtown Auto Service on 117 and 1st) and they took me in immediately and were done within 15 minutes. When i was there another person came and they took him too. Save yourself the hassle to go to someone that is honest and cares about costumer service.

Don’t go here for inspections - they are very dishonest! Last year they damaged a wiper and would not pass the vehicle until I purchased a new one from them for $20. This year they upped their ripoff game and told my wife the vehicle needed front brakes ($475). Took the vehicle in for brakes at Mavis - they just called and said front and back brakes are are fine (only 50% worn). Avoid these crooks if you can.

Untrustworthy establishment. The owner tried to find problems with my car that just didn’t exist. They tried to charge me triple the price for a state inspection, and ended up, overcharging me for part for my car. Steer clear if you can, there are better auto repair shops in the area that do great work, and are honest.

This business is very rude and unprofessional. They sure can do inspections and fix a flat tire BUT they will STEAL anything within an arms reach while they have your car. Please take all your belongings when you drop off your car for service IF YOU ABSOLUTELY HAVE TO GO THERE.
