CDS Auto And Truck Repair

This guy is a crook and could have unalived me a my son. A few months ago I had my Car towed to his shop because it was AAA certified. While driving there was a loud clunk and a grinding sound on the right wheel side of my vehicle. And I could not accelerate. So, it being unsafe to drive in, I had it towed. His front desk rep was rude to me despite me being pretty patient with her struggles with sending me a quote by email. When receiving the quote, I was skeptical because what they describe fixing didn't fit the issue and symptom. The mechanic called me and assured me test drives were done and he "took my entire car apart to assure safety". Well, lol, guess what I found out? He slapped a bandaid on the problem. And didn't replace the part or repair what he said he did. Because my wheel barring had gone and my brake on that side was completely shot. I am livid. Save yourself the money, time, and risk and go with someone else.

⭐ 1 STAR – SCAMMERS & PRICE GOUGING CDS Auto and Truck Repair is a complete scam. My car was towed on a POLICE ORDER during a winter storm, and they charged me $389.25 just to remove it from the street — even though it wasn’t even 10 miles from where it was parked. That amount is absolutely outrageous and unjustifiable. When a tow is police-ordered, you don’t get a choice. They know that — and they clearly take advantage of it. This feels like straight-up price gouging during an emergency, preying on people when they’re already stuck and stressed because of the weather. No clear explanation, no breakdown that makes sense, just a massive bill and a “pay it or else” attitude. There is no excuse for charging nearly $400 for such a short-distance tow, storm or not. If you’re unlucky enough to have your car taken here after a police tow, be prepared to be ripped off. I strongly warn anyone reading this: avoid CDS Auto and Truck Repair at all costs.

Had my car towed to CDS because it was an AAA affiliated shop and it was near my home. On top of that, they had great reviews. I had a short affecting my starter motor and it was beyond my scope of expertise. Chris, the owner was very personable and gave me every confidence that he and his staff would diagnose and fix the problem. Which they did, in a timely manner. He also explained other things that may need attention but could be dealt with at a later date. He didn't try to sell me on something I did not need. Very pleased and will most likely return to get the follow up service he recommended. Got my car back on the road so I can go to work. 👍

Huge shoutout to CDS Auto and Truck for squeezing me in today for my brakes and inspection! Extremely fair prices, honest, and amazing customer service. I was quoted more than double for the same exact service at a local chain this morning. Now I'll be using CDS in the future!

We were treated very well by Chris and Susan at CDS. Our car broke down on the NY Thruway late on a Friday afternoon. We were towed to CDS and they stayed open after closing until we arrived. Chris diagnosed the problem immediately. The parts were order, and once installed we were on our way. I highly recommend CDS.
