Hans Auto

While I was staying in Hudson Valley for most of September but my van started to consistently die if left undriven for a day. Far away from my regular mechanics in Philly I had to take a chance on someone in the area so I chose Hans on the recommendation of a few Reddit users. While it did take the whole day to diagnose my issue, they figured out a small electrical issue had been continuously draining my battery over time. The price of parts and labor was minimal compared to what I thought it was going to cost. I couldn’t have been happier!

Knowledgeable & friendly, Hans Auto has been a local institution for foreign automotive repairs (including some domestic). They take the time to explain what they have found along with the best possible solutions. A bit pricey but their work is exceptional.

I've had great experiences at this shop, especially as a college student!! All the employees are super nice and helpful, and they do great work. They have the best prices I've seen around New Paltz and also often have earlier availability. 1000% recommend especially to female students worried about being taken advantage of.

I would not recommend. They did not call with an estimate and just fixed my car without my permission. Just want money for sloppy work. Skip this place.

John and Mike are the absolute best and most honest mechanics I have ever had to deal with. These guys know their stuff. So happy to have found their shop. I have been a customer for years now and will not go to any other mechanics.
