Scott at Nanuet Auto Service is the real deal. He showed up exactly when and where I needed him, was incredibly easy to talk to, and just genuinely honest. I only needed help adding refrigerant, and instead of overcharging me, he suggested I grab a kit from AutoZone to save money. He took care of everything quickly and only charged for the visit. My AC is working again and I’m so relieved. Truly appreciate the honesty and kindness. Highly recommend!

Just when I thought my 17 year old Nissan had finally kicked the bucket. Scott at Nanuet Auto came over, diagnosed and repaired in less than 5 minutes. I kid you not. The car runs better than it has in months. Scott is the most professional, fair and considerate mechanic i've ever met. If you need work done. He's the man to call.

I strongly urge anyone considering Nanuet Auto Service to look elsewhere. I brought my vehicle here when my usual mechanic was unavailable, expecting a straightforward, minor repair. Instead, Scott misdiagnosed the issue and performed an unnecessary repair that ultimately caused additional damage to my car. Within 24 hours of leaving the service, all of the oil had leaked out due to an incorrectly installed part. As a result, I had to take my car to another mechanic, who was able to properly diagnose and fix the problem—something Scott was unable to do. When I contacted Scott to explain the situation and request a refund, he initially refused. After pressing the issue, he said he would “get back to me,” but never did. I made multiple attempts to reach him via phone and text, all of which were ignored. I have still not received a refund and am now pursuing further action to address the damages caused. This was an extremely frustrating and costly experience. I strongly recommend taking your business elsewhere.

He was friendly, very knowledgeable, fast and honest. He replaced the tie rods on my Jeep in about an hour (very fast) and afterwards gave me ideas on how to extend the life of my vehicle. I would definitely recommend giving him a call if you need work done on your vehicle.

i have been using nanuet auto service for many years and no one pays better attention to detail like Scott does. it's amazing to see a mechanic that actually cares about the vehicle with hones work who backs it up and save me so much headache. the key is preventative maintenance quality products bases on years of experience and he offers that. ive seen him grow better tools over the years and i have 5 vehicles that he works on.
