Caliber Collision

The team at Caliber Collision was extremely helpful in fixing my Toyota Highlander. From start to finish, everything was handled with the utmost professionalism—communication, care, paint work, and coordination with insurance were all seamless. Crystal, John, and the wonderful woman at the front desk were all amazing. They made the process smooth and stress-free and treated me with genuine care and respect. I rarely leave reviews, but this experience has been beyond frustrating and deserves to be shared. I wish I could give zero stars My vehicle was hit while parked on January 31st (hit-and-run during a snowstorm). It was initially taken to Caliber Collision in Queens Village on February 2nd, then transferred to the Mamaroneck location on February 11th because I was told they had availability to begin repairs immediately. It is now March 29th, and I STILL do not have my car back. For weeks, I’ve been told the same thing over and over: “delayed parts” and “still in paint.” This has been the excuse for the past 2–3 weeks alone, with no real transparency or urgency. At this point, it feels like I’m being given generic updates just to keep me quiet. Meanwhile, my insurance (GEICO) only covered a rental for 30 days. Since then, I’ve had to pay out of pocket — nearly $2,000 — just to have a car while waiting on repairs that should have been completed by now. What makes this worse: • The shop has already been paid by the insurance company • Communication has been poor and inconsistent • My adjuster is extremely difficult to reach • I’ve had to chase updates instead of being proactively informed • I was told this job would take 35–40 days — we are now well past that timeframe It’s been 46 days. I even spoke with management, and instead of taking accountability or offering any kind of solution, I was told they cannot assist with rental reimbursement despite the excessive delay. At this point, it feels like there is no urgency, no accountability, and no respect for the customer’s time or financial burden. I would strongly advise anyone considering this location to think twice. Delays happen — but lack of communication, lack of ownership, and leaving customers to carry the financial burden is unacceptable. Boycott Caliber Collision!!!! If only I didn’t go with what my insurance company (GEICO) recommended and read these reviews on Reddit of all these horrible incidents with this company. Maybe I wouldn’t be in this position. **********UPDATING my review now that I finally got my car back.************ At first, this experience was frustrating. My car was delayed way longer than expected, communication was poor, and I was stuck paying my car note, insurance, AND a rental the whole time. I’m not ignoring that part—it was a mess. But, after I left my original review, they stepped up. They worked with me and reimbursed about half of what I spent on the rental, which I do appreciate. The repair work itself was solid, no issues there. Overall, it started off rough, but I do appreciate them putting in the effort to accommodate me and make things right in the end.

Everyone at Caliber was so professional and accommodating. They knew everything about how my insurance coverage worked and made sure my rental was coordinated. They communicated every step of the way and made sure I understood next steps. My car was done 3 days before they estimated it would be. I highly recommended them!

I had my car repaired here after a little fender bender. The work was exceptional. Everyone who works there is kind and the communication was top tier, they kept me updated on progress along the way. Work was finished ahead of time which was a nice bonus!

I was in an accident with significant damage to my vehicle. They were very professional and helpful. CALIBER went above and beyond, definitely A+ service!
