Brenn Automotive

This shop was recommended to me as being a great repair shop. I've had my Subaru in for exhaust repair and they did everything they could to repair only what was absolutely necessary. Over time other parts of the exhaust rusted away and they replaced them as needed. They changed my automatic transmission fluid for less than the ballpark price I was given because a filter was not required. That's very honest 💯. I highly recommend Brenn Automotive!

Brenn Auto is the Best in town!! I brought in my 2006 VW beetle. The car needed extensive work. First I brought the car into Romeo VW here in Kingston, well, that was a bad idea. They were no help at all. I am a woman that knows about cars. Well, after about 3 weeks, at Brenn, I got the car back and it's running like it's new. It was a little pricey, but you get what you pay for!!!Thank you again to all the great mechanics at Brenn Automotive!

Outstanding shop. They know their stuff, inside out. Great integrity: I have learned I can trust them completely. In my experience, they will only do work that’s truly necessary. And when they put in a fix, it’s solid and well done. Plus, these are simply good people and a pleasure to do business with. No bad attitudes! A word on cost: Brenn is less than a dealer but not the cheapest spot in town. But hey, they’re fair & honest, and in life you tend to get what you pay for.

Brenn has a family feel but with years of hands-on experience and all of the latest diagnostic technology. We are always comfortable talking to Darryl and Shane and they are very honest about everything. Before finding Brenn went thru some very expensive and ineffective dealership experiences with our 2011 Mercedes Sprinter van. We thankfully found Brenn from a Google search and began regularly taking the van to them.They have sorted out a ton of small and large issues at a reasonable price, considering the time it takes to do so. On a recent (reluctant) visit to the dealership (for an airbag recall) they found nothing needing service, which speaks very highly of the way Darryl and Shane have been taking care of us and our van!! Wow!! We are happy customers.

Brought in my vintage car for repair on the manual transmission and linkage. He spent some time on it but he really didn't know what he was doing because I had to find a fabricator-machine shop to fix what he couldn't. While my car was in his shop, without my permission, he used my car for advertising his business. Then, he tells me how much it would cost for his partial repairs. It was a fortune! I refused to pay this amount and offered a more reasonable sum. He took it but expected me to pay the balance and I refused to pay. When I told him about his using my car for his personal advertising without my permission which meant I could sue him for it, I got my car back, but he kept every book and manual I provided for him to help him with my car. He still has them. He's a real piece of work so avoid him at all costs.
