Omg these dude are super amazing!!! I went over to Mavis last minute to get my inspection turns out there was a lot wrong with my Car but Hunter the new manager got me straight the new staff his so nice Red is sweet and hunter has been so helpful explaining all that's wrong with my car as a female I don't know much about parts but he was very patient and I greatly appreciated it I will definitely come back again.

Stopped in on a Saturday afternoon around 5. My husband’s truck had a nail in the tire was looking to get it removed and patched. Despite the late hour and how busy they were Shawn and his team got us right in without hesitation and fixed us right up. Thanks for the quick response. Your kindness was appreciated.

On January 2, 2026 while driving Thruway East, my car started making scraping, rattling noises, which sounded like a muffler issue, so I got off at Johnstown exit as I remembered there was a Monro Muffler on the main drag Comrie Rd. It was apparent the pipe was disconnected once I arrived and looked under the car. I wasn’t precisely told the exact issue, but they said the parts would arrive tomorrow (Saturday Jan 3rd) and would be done Saturday OR Sunday. Did not receive a call either day, so I called Sunday and was told 2 parts arrived but “they” (themselves or the parts store?) forgot to ship or order a 3rd part needed. That part would not arrive until Tuesday, January 6th. Luckily for me, my original destination was Saratoga Springs to my daughters, 50 minutes away, so I had a place to stay until Tuesday as I live in Camden, NY over 2 hours away. Tuesday I had to call them at 11:30 am, told it was due to arrive in one hour, so I could head out shortly. It was still on the lift when I got there, they brought it to the front door and I paid for the muffler. I did receive a 10% discount for my inconvenience. I started the car, was still rather noisy, but thought maybe as I drive along it will get quiet. Just wanted to get home. The sound got worse. Drove directly to the Monro in Rome, NY, they immediately looked at it, said there was a leak in the seam of the muffler. They had a new one in less than half an hour and quickly on my way to shop. Sort of quiet but not quite. Drove back to Monro and finally they test drove it and confirmed the exhaust pipe was hitting the heat shield. They fixed it. No charge for this service. It appears to be fixed. I do appreciate Romes immediate service and no charge, which seems appropriate.

Had an appointment for 830 for oil change and inspection. I was told car would be worked on a few minutes after I handed them the keys. Took 45 minutes for my car to be brought in to be worked on no one was in the building I was the only person here There service states free tire rotation and fluid top offs and all this other nonsense for there oil changes, one of the reason I brought it there. No fluids were topped they did not rotate my tires as they were supposed to. As for the safety inspection. They did nothing right. So much for feeling safe out there. They didn’t check light bulbs brakes or remove any tires to check the brakes. Theyt didn’t check glass or wipers or anything I watched the entire time my car was worked on. They plugged it in and passed it and sent it out the door. Then I got the receipt with all the stuff they Claimed to have examined during my time there. If you are thinking about having your car worked on go some where else they were truly terrible. No they were not short staffed there was 3 people working on cars doing the same stuff. Stay away do not go here

Klayton was the service representative that greeted me, answered my questions, and provided me with a thorough explanation of the condition of front brakes that I knew needed to be replaced as well as the rear brakes that will need to be replaced in the near future. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful.
