Been coming to J and J since August of 2025 because they are the closest shop that my warranty accepts. Started off with a power steering leak, i took my truck to them twice on the matter and even though they said they did the work the leak is still the same as it was till this day. They “replaced” my alternator under warranty but it was only spray painted over to look new. Brought in my truck recently because I had a new brake kit that I purchased and wanted them to install. During that matter my warranty company contacts me and says they are trying to make a claim on a new radiator, so I take the truck back the next week and when I finally get it back all they did was spray paint over the same radiator. The mechanic Jeff who I think is the owner aswell has talked me up this whole time on how they “arent like other shops” and “wouldn’t scam anyone” even when confronted on the matter still lied to my face. Not sure what type of explanation there is for that but Atleast take out the spray painted leaves to not make it seem so obvious. I’ve tried very hard to trust them but I don’t recommend this shop.

I had a great experience with the team at J&J in Bay Shore. From the moment I walked in, they were professional, honest, and easy to deal with. They took the time to explain exactly what was going on with my vehicle and didn’t try to upsell me on anything I didn’t need—which is rare these days. The work was done quickly and done right the first time. You can tell they really know their stuff and take pride in what they do. Pricing was fair, and the communication throughout the process was excellent. If you’re looking for a reliable, trustworthy mechanic in the area, I highly recommend them. I’ll definitely be coming back for any future repairs.
