AAA Car Care Center - Clifton Park

I went to the AAA service center to get a tire plugged instead of calling roadside assistance, since my tire wasn’t completely flat and roadside has seemed understaffed recently. I’ve been a AAA member for years, and the last time I needed roadside help for a flat tire, I was charged $20. I was shocked to find out after the work was done that I was being charged more than double that amount for a simple plug. I wasn’t given an estimate or informed ahead of time that the price would be higher. Had I known, I would have reconsidered my options. The lack of price transparency was really disappointing.

In regards to the service... It was quick and easy. The individual sitting at the for at desk was clear in explaining everything. In regards to timing... Having come at a busier time, the wait was longer than expected, but fully understandable. Everything taken care of with great care.

I've been getting my scheduled oil changes and state inspections done here for a few years. Always polite, professional and on schedule. They do what you request very well and never hit you with any surprises. The waiting room is comfortable and stocked with complementary hot and cold drinks, tv and computer. AAA travel services are available too. I highly recommend this shop although I would like to keep it quiet so I don't have to battle for an appointment time.😂

I will never take my car back to this location. During a recent repair I questioned items that were not on the original estimate but placed on the final invoice. It wasn't explained why I needed it done nor did I authorize it. Mark treated me very rudely and was dismissive. His point was that I shouldn't question what was done but should only be concerned that the price is what I was quoted. I don't consider this trustworthy service.
