I have been bringing my vehicles to Foley’s Garage since 1994, and I can say without hesitation that their service has been impeccable for three decades. The mechanics are always incredibly kind and knowledgeable, and the woman who manages the phones and appointments is a total pro, always friendly and helpful. Whether it’s an old clunker or a brand-new car, they’ve handled every vehicle I’ve owned with expert care. What sets them apart is their integrity; they are incredibly courteous, beyond flexible with scheduling, and most importantly they never try to take advantage of you. It’s rare to find a shop that treats you like family, but that’s exactly what they do on Depot Rd. If you want honest, high-quality work, this is the place.

I just wanted to say ive been using Foley's Garage for my repairs , oil changes, inspections for the past 29 years. My grandfather told me back then he went to them. Ive used other mechanics or one offs when needed but nobody has ever compared. Great family , knowledgeable and skilled team. I have never once had an issue when in need of their services. Glad I listened to my elders and put my trust in who they trusted. I'd pick a category but over the years its probably all been done to the 6 cars I've owned. All bought used and they helped me keep the life in them till they had no more to offer. Thanks again . As long as those doors are open I'll keep coming back.
View on GoogleI strongly suggest thinking twice before bringing your vehicle here. It is sad to say since this used to be our go-to shop, where we never had to worry or question the service. That however has drastically changed in the last few years. We only go there if we need inspection typically and now even that has gone out the window. We just brought one for inspection and they gave us a inaccurate laundry list of things it "needed" in order to pass, so we said we would pick it up. (This is the 2nd vehicle in a row they did this with.) Upon driving it two separate times since we brought it home we were overcome with the smell of gas and exhaust, to the point of nausea and dizziness. Made it home with all the windows down, and lifted the hood only to find both the oil cap upside down in a pool of oil that had sprayed all over the inside of the hood & engine compartment, as well as the washer fluid cap left open. Absolutely careless, unacceptable and dangerous to say the least. That's something you'd expect to happen at JiffyLube or another quick stop shop. So if they can't be trusted with something as simple as screwing a cap back on... in my opinion, it would be literally insane to even consider allowing them to work your brakes or rear suspension.
View on GoogleI had my son's car diagnosed there it needed plugs & coil packs, they went ahead and did $864 worth of work without approval. Turned out the parts were no good and made my son wait several days to warranty with good parts ! Called the dealership and they said that the work would have only cost $594 + tax by certified technicians. The service writer is rude and treats everyone as a child, not knowing a thing about cars period. As someone who grew up with John Foley, he would be disgusted how Shawn is running the business now. Beware go to a certified repair shop , save yourself the hassle
View on GoogleWe had already put $3,000 of work into my Jeep Compass, including getting it running and new tires, after it had been sitting for close to a year. The vehicle was brought to Foley’s because my family has a long-standing relationship with this shop and I was told they were ethical and trustworthy. Just a couple of months later, the car would not start again. I had it towed via AAA back to Foley’s. I was then told the issue was the fuse box and was quoted $1,500 for a new part or $500 for a used part, including labor. Because we had already invested more than the vehicle is worth, I explicitly agreed to the $500 option. Yesterday, I was notified that the car was ready. When I called to make payment, I was told the total was over $1,000 more than double the quoted price. I was shocked. When questioned, even the woman at the front desk acknowledged to the mechanic, “She’s a nice girl and I can’t blame her for being upset if you quoted her $500.” The mechanic then told me, “It’s like surgery once you start, you don’t know what you’ll find.” While I understand unexpected issues can arise, this was not an emergency, and I should have been called and given the option to approve or decline additional work. That never happened. When I asked for the original quoted price to be honored or to set up a payment plan, both requests were refused. Instead, I was given three options: 1. Pay the full amount immediately 2. They keep my car until I come up with the money 3. They remove the part As someone who relies on this vehicle to get to work and transport my toddler, this felt incredibly unfair and financially coercive. Quoting one price, doing additional work without authorization, and then holding a customer’s vehicle until they pay the difference is unethical. I would strongly caution others especially women to get everything in writing and be very careful trusting this shop.
