I hesitated to leave a review at first only because I hadn't put much time behind the wheel yet-but after living with the truck a bit, I can say this with confidence: I couldn't have asked for a better 28-year-old vehicle. The inventory at Al Schaefer's stood out immediately. Every older vehicle on the lot looked exceptionally well-kept for its age, and it's clear Al knows how to find quality trucks that still have a lot of life left in them. I recently went all-in on restoring mine-full respray, frame steam-cleaned and painted, brand new Bilstein 4600s front and rear, and every little ding from nearly three decades taken care of. The truck looks incredible now, and it all started with a solid foundation from Al. On top of that, the buying experience was great. Al went above and beyond, especially handling the out-of-state sale-running around last minute to make sure everything was squared away. You don't see that kind of effort much anymore. If I'm ever in the market for another older vehicle, I know exactly where I'm going.

We had an amazing experience with Al Schaefer’s! From the very beginning, my fiancé was in communication with the staff, before we even stepped foot on the lot, and they were nothing but kind, helpful, and responsive. When we finally came to see the truck in person, the whole team made us feel incredibly welcome. The customer service was truly top-notch. They even helped entertain our toddler so his dad could focus on the test drive —- something any parent can deeply appreciate! Despite having a long and busy day, they stayed late just to make sure we could drive off the lot with the truck we really wanted. It honestly felt like they made magic happen. You can tell they care about their customers and stand by the quality of their vehicles. We couldn’t be happier. I bought a truck sight unseen and out of state off of Al. The good experience started when Al agreed to hold the truck for me for several weeks until I had a chance to travel to New York to pick the truck up. Al had everything done and in place for me. All I had to do was sign the papers and drive away. Al new I had a log drive to get the truck back home so he made sure the tires were aired up including the spare. Me and the wife had a nice time driving back home and are now enjoying our new truck. Thanks Al!
