We've only ever had NYS inspections done here, but they are great for that. Customer areas could be cleaner, minus one star, however the folks there are very welcoming and seem to have very loyal customers. We've found our loyalties elsewhere, however I wouldn't hesitate to take my vehicle here if our regulars were unavailable. The mechanics here have many years of experience.

Just wanted a light bulb switched out, they took my car in immediately. Everything was going fine until they realized they didn't have that bulb in stock and told me to come back the next day. When I did they treated me like an inconvenience. Go literally anywhere else if you want to be treated with any sort of respect.

Keeps prices low by doing the bare minimum. I got my inspection done on a new-to-me old car, technically passed inspection, but five days later I took it on the freeway for the first time and the bulk of the exhaust system fell off. When I called and asked whether they had paid any attention to the rusty points on the exhaust, they weren't even apologetic about the avoidable $500 cost I was incurring. No offer to make it up to me in any way. I'd gotten oil changes, headlight and tire repairs here in the past, but I'd rather take my business to someone who's willing to say "While I had the car lifted up I noticed something that'll be cheap and easy to fix before it's a bigger problem." Just because everything "passed inspection" doesn't mean the car was safe to take on the highway with pipes flying off, and anybody could've seen that once the car was lifted. Phillippi just didn't bother telling me. If you need an oil change here, go for it. They never *damaged* my cars. But if you aren't sure what condition your vehicle is in underneath and want good information to keep it safe and driveable, go somewhere else. Update: now my transmission is acting up too. When I checked the fluid it was filthy. No idea how long the prior owner went without changing it and how much damage that caused, but again - Philippi could've warned me when I asked for a general inspection. It's nice that they won't pressure you to buy stuff you don't need; but pretty crummy that they won't alert you to things you actually do need to pay attention to.
