I highly recommend this place, been going to them for years. Great service and great people. I get both my bmw and Toyota serviced and inspected here. They even got some fast boys in the lobby to look at while you wait.

★★★★★ I had an excellent experience with Round Lake Auto Repair. They tuned and installed a Grimmspeed exhaust on a 2021 Subaru STI and absolutely nailed it. The car sounds incredible now — aggressive without being obnoxious — and the tune made the whole car feel smoother, stronger, and more responsive. The team was knowledgeable, straightforward, and clearly understands performance cars and enthusiast builds. They took the time to explain everything, the work was clean, and the car was treated with respect the entire time. It’s hard to find a shop you can trust with a modified STI, but these guys earned it. If you have a Subaru or performance vehicle and want quality work done right the first time, I highly recommend them.

Took my car here the other day for service. David’s a great guy. Overheard a conversation between him and another customer; the relationship he builds with his customers gained my respect. Their pricing was very reasonable and I can tell they take pride in their work. Will absolutely continue taking my vehicles here and will be referring others too as well.

This shop was recommended to me as they do all Subaru mods all but in their sleep. I was very impressed with them! They treated me with respect; which is sometimes difficult to come by when you’re a female, as well as honesty and knew what I was looking for in the upgrade department.

So it's 4 years later and I finally got this car running after it spent 3.5 years with these guys. I don't even know where to begin with the laundry list of things they screwed up. Looking past the cracked mirror, broken turn signal, cracked heater control valve, and every hose being destroyed. They blew up the engine on the dyno, overbored the engine again and lied about it, forgot to machine the whole deck surface and said that 0.010" or so of a lip wouldn't be a sealing issue for a MLS headgasket, so the engine blew a head gasket. The machine shop said they caused detonation on every single cylinder because of the tune. Throughout the 3.5 years they spent over 6 months troubleshooting an idle issue that could have been resolved by checking continuity on 1 wire. They apparently made a new wiring harness but forgot to include a few sensors, when I went to pick up the car they tell me the abs light comes on every once in a while but after having to rebuild the whole engine it turns out they just decided not to include all the connectors for it. A lot more to say but yeah these guys don't know what they're doing, finally got the car up and running after they expended my cores for the block and head though.
