Several years ago I traded in a low-mileage 2004 Ford F-150 for a used 2008 Ford Escape I had long admired. The high-pressure sales environment was noticeable, though I ultimately chose to move forward. The finance experience was grueling. My test drive, as it turned out, was deceptive in the most literal sense. It was a cold day, and the heat was pumping — the cabin was warm, the ride was smooth, everything handled well. I declined the extended warranty. That decision came back to haunt me. Within months of purchase, the heater died and had to be replaced. Not long after, while driving through Camden and approaching the turn toward home, I found I had almost no brakes. Pressing the pedal did very little. I pumped it repeatedly and eventually came to a stuttering stop. I drove directly to Fenton Ford to have the vehicle inspected. The verdict: a failed throttle body — something that should have been caught during the pre-sale inspection. The heater issue apparently slipped through as well. These were not minor oversights. Between the repair costs and the near-miss on that road, my appetite for Ford vehicles evaporated entirely — and it hasn't returned. I will not buy another Ford, and I will certainly not buy one from Fenton Ford. I will not buy a used vehicle either. Proceed with caution if you're buying used.

First off I'd like to say that our salesman Brendan helped make the whole buying experience a great one! My husband has been looking for a bigger truck on order to haul a trailer and we went to quite a few dealerships within the past couple of months - most of the salesmen at the other places were not good listeners and didn't really seem to care about our needs. But our experience with Brendan was refreshing in that he is a great listener and knew exactly what our expectations were- he came thru with the perfect truck for our needs! Brendan was very knowledgeable and he responded to our questions quickly. He made sure all our needs were met and made us feel like we were his priority. They also have is a great price for our trade in- we highly recommend Fenton Ford - ask for Brendan, he'll take great care of you!
View on GoogleI purchased an old ranger from them in November. It looked pretty good but naturally had a good deal of rust in the undercarriage. I asked to lower the price because of the rusted parts and the salesman brought a mechanic in to verify that it was nothing to be worried about. They came down 200 dollars on the price after I asked 1500 off. I decided to trust the mechanic’s point of view and bought the truck. The truck was under the lemon law warranty for 60 days. Literally on the 60th day since I purchased the truck, the wheel bearing was acting up and the muffler got really loud because the seam rusted open. I called Fenton ford the next day and wasn’t able to get ahold of them so I talked with them the day after and they said I was out of warranty so there was nothing they could do except take a small portion off the cost if I drove it all the way out to their shop for them to fix it. The salesman told me that he had offered a warranty but that it wasn’t something I wanted to pay for. I do not remember that. I remember him telling me there wasn’t a reasonable warranty available for this old vehicle, only the lemon law. I felt like he was trying to cover their side of things by making up that story because I do not remember it that way and I was focused and listening to the best of my ability. I ended up spending 800 on fixes and felt pretty dumb for taking the salesman and dealership mechanic’s word on the state of the truck. I understand old trucks will have issues but both of these issues could have been anticipated for the near future so they either just hoped it wouldn’t happen until after warranty or didn’t know enough to anticipate it. The mechanic told me they had gotten everything up to good working condition. It just causes me to loose respect when I’m directly lied to, or they just don’t know what they are talking about while acting so confident. Other than all of that, my experience there was good.
