We had our snowblower serviced 2 months ago, which was originally purchased there. My husband is out of town. I hired someone to plow when we had the large storm a couple weeks ago. I went to start it today and couldn't get it to run . I called Burnt hills hardware today and spoke to Tim. I explained the situation and asked if someone could come and get it started or take it if it still needs more work. Tim, the owner, was the RUDEST person I've ever dealt with . He said where ya been , it's been 2 months . Explained that I had someone plow while husband has been out of town. He said he could pick it up on Tuesday and repair it and they'll be a charge. Nothing is free! Lmao!!! Maybe if he fixed it correctly the first time I would not be in this situation! Cannot believe how he spoke to me!!! I will NEVER step foot in Burnt Hills Hardware again. They are just nasty mean people!! Beware!!!

This place is an absolute joke. You place an online order, get told it’ll be ready for pickup, and the moment you’re stuck at work they sell it to someone else. What’s the point of ordering online if they don’t honor it? Completely incompetent and untrustworthy. And the garden center employee? Hands down one of the rudest, nastiest people I’ve ever dealt with in customer service. Aggressive, dismissive, and acting like I was an inconvenience for expecting them to do their job. Zero professionalism, zero accountability. If you enjoy wasting your time and being treated like garbage, this is the place for you. Otherwise, stay far away.

Best hardware store around. Staff is very knowledgeable, even if you're looking for obscure items or just advice on home projects. This is definitely the place to go.

I went into the Ace in Burnt Hills to get a key cut and programmed. I've had a couple different locations do this for me before with zero issues and were also very helpful in the process. I tell the guy behind the counter what I need and he said "Well I'm not going to be able to cut or program it for you, I don't mess with keys I don't sell." Then told me to go find a locksmith. I asked him how much it would be if he sold me the key and programmed it. Just for the key it would have been over 300 bucks, and then the other fees. I said I'll just go somewhere else. And his response was "Yeah, I don't blame you." What a crappy customer service experience all the way around. Seems like he just didn't feel like doing it so he pushed me off to someone else. I'll never go back there again.

Robinson Ace checked Burnt Hills for me and gave me the item number and phone number. I checked and there inventory showed one, they saved it at the register. Nice to do business with local stores that give personal service.
