AutoMat Custom & Restoration

I took my 97 993 4S for a speaker an amp upgrade. On 1/14/26. I got there first thing in the morning 8:00 Tim the owner welcome me and brought the car in for the job. They took the whole day had 7/8 guys working on the installation. Received the car back at closing time 5:00. The installation was good $4k later no issues. I parked the car after the installation. Went back 3 weeks later to get a coat and hat that I had left in my trunk. When I went to retrieve those items the Mackage coat was there but my Amiri $500 hat was missing. I contacted Tim asking to view the camera according to Tim none of the workers know anything about it, and the cameras don’t hold memory longer than 1 week. I brought my 1989 Oldsmobile 88 here for a sagging headliner. Tim took care of me, matched the color right in front of me and recommended I also redo the visors and sail panels so that the material and color will match. Such a great guy, no gimmicks, we scheduled an appointment and he told me I would bring the car at 8:00 and it would be ready at 4:00. I still have on my phone, Tim called me at EXACTLY 4:00. This place is the real deal, responsible, and work done in a timely manner. I can't be happier with the end result, the color and fabric look original, which is very important to me, as everything on my car is original. My car means a lot to me and I trusted them to take everything apart, you can't tell that it was ever even apart. If you have a car with sentimental value, trust these guys. Good work done in a timely manner, honest, trustworthy, what more could you want?

When I walked in with my homely 14-year-old car, the folks at AutoMat asked what I'd like done. Then I just looked at them and smiled, they laughed, and said, "Everything, right?" I had heard about AutoMat for years, and they deserve their reputation. Tim went through all of the options with me, including ways to save money. Even halfway through the process they invited me in to review the progress and to fine tune anything else I wanted. In the end, the car looks far better than it did at the dealership on the day I bought it in 2009, and in my opinion better than any other new car I could have replaced it with. I could not think of a better place to take your car.

I have been having my cars worked on at Automat since the 80's and the most consistent thing about dealing with them is the amazing quality of work they put into each and every vehicle that comes in. I've personally had convertible tops, seat covers, carpeting and every other type of trim done there and have always been amazed how great it looks. Wheather it was one of my classic cars or my everyday driver it's a home run every time. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and works on every car like it's their own. I had Automat replace the convertible top on my 1965 Mustang as well as replace the carpeting and door panels. Working with Tim was great, he was extremely knowledgeable and went through all of the options available including ways to minimize costs. During the process Tim had me come in to review progress and make additional decisions. Tim and his team did a thorough review of the car and identified critical issues with rusting as well as with the functioning of the engine and brakes that needed to be addressed. After the work was completed, the car is running probably better than it ever has. Tim and his team clearly care about the quality of the work that they do and came across as trustworthy and always willing to help in any way that they can. I would highly recommend Automat for a wide range of auto work.
