I am writing this review based on an interaction with Kathy, one of the owners, this week from the point of view of working at a local dealership. Kathy reached out to me to check warranty coverage for an issue with a customer's car. I was able to get the part covered under goodwill through my dealership, so happy ending there. In terms of Kathy and the shop, I have to say, I was impressed by both her professionalism and her genuine concern that her customer be taken care of, even if it meant losing potential revenue from the repair. This kind of integrity is rare anymore, and I have to give her a virtual high-five to acknowledge the respect her actions earned from me. I will gladly recommend their shop going forward. Thank you! We’ve continued to come back to this local shop over the last few years because we appreciate how honest and reliable they are! They clearly care about their customers. I highly recommend them - it’s not easy to find a mechanic that you not only trust, but that takes the time to walk you through your options. I have also felt welcome as a woman, which can sometimes be tricky at auto shops

I have known Kathy and Manny for a long time. Manny I have known since his dealership days. These two I can trust with my family members cars. They will not guess what's wrong with a car without thoroughly diagnosing it. This is a problem with most shops as I would like to call them parts swappers. I may have came in for a simple inspection today but my past and my family's past experience with them has not changed. They are still the same honest shop that I can trust. Thank you two and keep doing what you guys are doing!

My wife’s truck wouldn’t start while she was upstate on a girls trip. I called and within an hour they had gone out to the hotel and looked at the truck, took it back to the shop and had it fixed by lunch time. Outstanding service and I looked like a hero for getting the truck fixed from afar :)

Manny’s Verplanck Auto was highly recommended to me by a good friend who’s been going there for years. I didn’t want to go to the dealers because their estimate of what needed to be done was too high and didn’t seem right. I’m so glad I took my car to Manny’s. In the end, I only needed air filters changed and nothing else. $60 instead of $600! And they were very nice and courteous too. I definitely recommend taking your car there! The only thing is that you have to book in advance because they’re so busy!
