Sin City Smog & Repair

I wish I could give more than 5 stars. I am very happy with the service I was provided. They were quick with excellent price, kept me in the loop the entire time, I feel I was treated fair and with honesty. I would recommend them for all your service needs.

I am unable to thank them enough. Small family owned business. Honest, trustworthy, friendly, highly observant, great workmanship and understanding. When I tell you how badly I've been screwed over by different mechanics in the past, spending thousands of dollars on bootleg jobs and not knowing, Joseph showed me the exact severity of damage done by my previous mechanics. FYI Sin City Smog does more than just smog checks. Just call them. These awesome mechanics take pride in their work because they care unlike these mechanics that take advantage of individuals. I found my forever mechanics and I wouldn't change them for anyone else. Just ask them about a 2014 Ford explorer and they will know exactly what your talking about. Expect to see some eye rolling. At one point, Joseph was awesome enough to explain to my dealership what was previously done by my ex mechanics, sadly my older mechanic messed me up so bad ford expected me to pay over $4k for repair. Thankfully Joseph and his family saved me. Currently, my daughter and I are able to drive around safety until I can afford a new vehicle. Recently my car stalled because my son took my car to Jiffy Lube for an oil change (He used to work there) and my car stalled while my daughter was driving. Sin city smog and repair saved the day once again. Not to mention, in May, they even patched my tire that I completely forgot to tell them about when they passed my smog. Only real men care about females car quality and service. Thank you guys for everything.

Zero stars. Negative stars even. My family and I just moved to Las Vegas from another state that doesn't require emissions testing. Naturally, there is so much to learn. This is why integrity in business is so important. We did not receive that from this place. First test, the person there saw our light on and still tested. He could have said, "The test will fail because the engine light is on." He tested anyway and we still had to pay $25. Then said once the engine light is off, we can test again and gave us a coupon. He also gave us the report, along with a list of mechanics we MUST go to. We called about that requirement later that day and asked, "Why didn't you tell us we are REQUIRED to go to specific mechanics to get repairs? We wouldn't have tested if you said something about engine light and the required list of mechanics!" He then assured us that the list is ONLY a recommended list instead of a required list, even though it says "must". He said once we get the repair, come back and get it tested. We thanked him and found a mechanic to repair it the next morning at 9am. After that repair, we ran a few errands and came back to Sin City Smog with the coupon. He asked my husband if we drove it for 100 miles. Just like that. No qualifiers. Since yesterday, the days of the first test, yes, we had. So, my husband said yes. He then proceeded to do the test. It was rejected. Not failed, but rejected. He made it seem like my husband lied about the mileage, but that's not the case! When we said he did not tell us yesterday about the 100 miles, he then said, Well, your mechanic should have told you that. I'm not a mechanic. Why would the mechanic automatically say that? Does every mechanic KNOW to say that? This guy at Sin City Smog DID NOT say, "Have you driven the car 100 miles SINCE THE ENGINE LIGHT WENT OFF." He simply said, "Have you driven the car 100 miles?" Clearly, as evidenced by our license plates, WE ARE FROM ANOTHER STATE!!!!!" How would we know what you meant, in your head, in reality, in between the lines??? We are now out of a total of $45. It took so much to move here and now we have to worry about businesses like this who know we are new to town and therefore, they can take our money without delivering service with full disclosure and integrity. I'm exhausted and angry and frustrated that a business licensed by the State of Nevada to provide emissions tests can be THIS dishonest and brazen about the the service he offers. Also, the State of Nevada should make it clear on the paperwork that 100 miles should be driven after repairs BEFORE TESTING AGAIN. Sin City Smog should also be required to tell customers this. We do not have money to waste. DO NOT. He doesn't have to know our situation, but he should acknowledge that full details and explanations help us make informed decisions. Also, honesty creates a repeat customer, and that WILL NOT BE US. Save yourself time and money and go to Jiffy Lube or some place other than a small, podunk hole in the wall that has no integrity and no professionalism.

It was fast and the worker was nice and it was the best pice that I found I’m most definitely gonna spread the word about this place “sin city smog” and definitely gonna be back next year

The customer service is great and prices are even better, especially compared to pretty much any other shop. Highly recommend!
