I am posting this review to formally document a serious failure in workmanship. In early November, I specifically asked whether this shop services Volvo vehicles and was assured that it does. Relying on that representation, I authorized brake and rotor work and paid approximately $1,400. On a return visit last Friday for an oil change ($100), my vehicle immediately displayed multiple warning lights and alarms. When I raised this with a technician, I was told to “just drive it.” The warnings persisted during my 40-mile drive home. I then took the vehicle to a Volvo-certified mechanic, who found that one rear brake caliper was completely dislodged and another was stuck. The mechanic described the prior brake work as “shoddy,” stating it was surprising the vehicle was operable. The mechanic also found that the oil drain plug gasket was not replaced during the oil change, resulting in oil loss. I have documentation and photos supporting these findings. As a direct result of this shop’s work, I am out approximately $1,500 for the initial work done at Precision and now face an additional $1,770 in corrective repairs at the Volvo mechanic shop. Due to the Christmas holiday, repairs will take over a week, leaving me without transportation during a busy time of year. This matter will be pursued further once I get my car back from the mechanic.

I brought my car to Precision Auto because a few warning lights had come on. What followed was a complete nightmare of shifting stories, predatory pricing, and outright damaging my vehicle. First Attempt: They called to tell me my catalytic converter was broken and quoted me a staggering $3,000 to fix it. I declined and told them I would be picking my car up to get a second opinion. Second Attempt: When I arrived to pick up my vehicle, they had completely broken the part they were supposed to be diagnosing and then tried to hold me hostage for the price of a "switch." Third Attempt: When I went back again, the story changed entirely, and suddenly they claimed I just needed to pay for a new battery. They went from a $3,000 catalytic converter replacement to a switch, to a battery, all while damaging my car in the process. This place is either completely incompetent or actively trying to scam people who don't know better. Do not trust them with your vehicle! Value: 0/5 Service: 0/5 Integrity: 0/5

Very fast service and reasonable pricing. They quoted me a number on the phone and it was exactly that much when I paid, which I really appreciated. I was very pleased with the friendliness of the staff as well. I will absolutely be taking my vehicles here in the future.

Called the day before, they said 0830 they would get me in for an alignment. I arrived early and was told they were swamped but would try to get me in. I waited and 4 hours later finally left with the alignment. I found out I had a TPMS sensor out but they could not do it that day so asked about the next day. I was told no problem be here at 0830. I again arrived early and was told they were swamped once again! Poor management! They said a bunch of people showed up at 0745, not my problem I had already been told they would get me in. They should have turned away the walk ins. I like the convenience of being on the base but not the customer service or time management. I will take my business elsewhere.

I tried to have them mount and balance 225/40-18 tires mounted on 18x8 wheels. They tried to sell me on $80 per wheel TPMS sensors on an indirect system and said they could not mount the tires because the wheels were 19”. When showing me the issue, they incorrectly measured from edge to edge, not bead to bead. At this point, I said “thank you very much” and took my setup to Discount Tire where they mounted and balanced in 30 mins for $120. Unbelievable that these people run a functional shop.
