I have been a customer for many years, and my family has trusted this shop for decades. A few years ago, I purchased a brand new engine, which was installed in my truck at Discount Radiators. Recently, I returned to have a few simple oil leaks sealed. After a couple of weeks, the truck was returned to me running weak and smelling unusual. When I opened the hood, it was immediately clear my brand-new engine had been swapped out for an old, rusted junkyard engine. When I confronted the mechanics, they denied it—until I showed before-and-after photos proving my engine was spotless and new, not orange, crusted, and used. Their excuse then changed to claiming the job was outsourced, and another mechanic had “dropped” my engine. I demanded to speak to John, the owner, who assured me he would replace it with a brand-new engine. However, when I arrived early the next morning, I found my original engine sitting in the back of John’s pickup truck, ready to be reinstalled after he had claimed it was “dropped on the floor.” He intended to pass it off as a replacement. At that point, I strongly considered involving law enforcement, because this was clear theft and deception. John ultimately apologized and did order me a new engine, but I had to make secret markings to ensure the correct engine was actually installed. After more than two decades of trust and loyalty, this experience proved to me that Discount Radiators no longer operates with integrity or values. Even though I received a replacement engine, the attempt to steal from me—and from my family—was inexcusable. I would strongly caution anyone considering doing business here. What was once a reputable shop is no longer trustworthy.

I have used their services since 2004, know the owner and all the mechanics, personally, professionally, friends, and the cars they owned and raced. Love these men. Anyone that knows me, at the shop, they'd say..."show us what you do on NASCAR, Duke City, and Sandia Speedway race day, Kim". That's my signature with them...lmao!!
