If you want honest, straightforward service, Dan's Automotive is the place! I was driving through ABQ on a road trip when a red warning light appeared on my dash saying the brake pads were worn past their minimum thickness and needed to be replaced immediately. Dan's got me in first thing the next morning and Keith got it up right away. Jared took a look at it and showed me the issue was simply the sensor was defective and the pads had plenty of life left in them. Their ability to get me in right away and their honesty about the situation is greatly appreciated. I can't recommend them highly enough!

Dan’s Automotive likes to alter their words, it’s not a trustworthy place to get your car fixxed. We went there to get our air conditioning fixed since it stopped blowing cold air after a while when driven, we had dropped it off at Dan’s because we went there before. I told them the issues and that the a/c blows cold then hot, they even made a note of it. We really trusted that they had our backs. When they called us after a while, they told us that our timing belt was broken and that our water belt was broken and something with the water was leaking and that was the cause of the issue we were really confused because we had replaced our timing belt a year ago so how did it break so fast? We declined them to fix that because it felt weird that the belt broke. When we came to pick up the car and paid $366. They told us even after it was something about the leak and it leaked and that broke. They pressed us to fix it that the engine will die if we don’t soon. We thanked them. However, mid drive back the same day as the “fix” it started blowing hot air again though the ac. We were confused because Dan’s said that it was a leak and they fixxed the issue. So how come it broke so fast?? Did they not fix anything? So we came back the morning, the day of posting this review. We had came back because we thought that they fixxed the issue. They told us that the they’ll check again, and that they’ll take for it if it’s an honest mistake, that this is a family business. So we trusted Dan’s again, we left it with them and they said it’ll take an hour or so. 7 hours later WE called them to ask for an update, now they said that it was pressure issue, that the issue was truly pressure and that our pressure were too high. But yesterday it was a leak that was the issue? So we went there in person to ask and demand our money because how did a leak turn into pressure. When we were arguing they said oh it worked when they had handled it, they said when they worked on it, the car A/C was working, HOWEVER, when I asked how come they said leak yesterday and suddenly it was pressure today THEY gave me a story that yesterday, they drove the car, on the road, and that it worked as first like I already said, and then at a moment it stopped working, it blew hot air like I said. Then at the stoplight it went back to cold air. So why were we told that it was a leak? The fact that they had personally felt the issue, the hot air and simply just lied to us and didn’t actually fix the root of the issue is really disappointing. Don’t get your AC fixxed at Dan’s, they’re probably gonna lie to you. This honest mistake is quite big. They charged us for freeon and pressure recharge to not fix the issue at all even though they knew the issue firsthand. I understand the labor cost but really to lie to your customers? TLDR: Dan’s told us it was a leak issue and charged us for labor and freeon but didn’t actually fix the root issue but switched and told us it was the pressure. Our trust was betrayed.

I was getting a "roadworthiness" inspection done on my car. They said that the oil filter assembly was leaking, I said that it's probably that little O-ring gasket, but go ahead and do it. They charged me $80 LABOR to do a 5 minute job and $20 for a $4 filter. INSANE. They just justified the cost by saying, "Have to pay our mechanics something! Had to put it on a lift, spray it, test drive it! Got electric bills, etc!" Absolutely will never, ever go there again.

I was having transmission glitches with my Sprinter 2005 T1N. They fixed me up and got me back on the road to Texas. Keith was super knowledgeable and an All-Star at customer service. I would recommend these people to anyone.

I have brought two of my vehicles to be fixed by the fine people here at Dans, and both times they have done an outstanding job fixing them. It's a pleasure working with Keith I have great confidence in his expertise.
