I have been going to Brown's Automotive for years and have always been satisfied with their quality of service. I will no longer be taking any of my vehicles there and I will for sure be telling friends and family to stay away for one simple reason: dishonesty. I took my Ford Focus there for an AC recharge. They recommended I replace the entire system (compressor, evaporator, condenser) for $3500. I told them that's about what the car is worth and this is just our beater car. I asked if he could recharge the AC system instead and told me he could for $249.99. I agreed to this price in the hopes that it would keep the AC working for one more summer before I get rid of the car. Overall, I'm still satisfied with the work. However, I was charged almost $500 when I went to pick the car up because they had to charge me for an extra hour of work. Had I known about this, I probably would not have spent the money recharging the AC at all. I told Jonathan on the phone that as long as it was just the $250 I would do it. He made no mention of any additional charges that would come along with this service. When I went to pick the car up, the receptionist said someone would call me and either explain or work the price out with me. No one has called. It seems like, as other reviewers have mentioned, this shop just wants to charge as much as they can without being upfront about it. Lesson learned. I would not advise anyone bring a vehicle here for service if they want to be charged fairly and honestly.

I took my fiancé‘s 2016 4Runner to Brown’s and had an excellent experience at this shop. They give every customer a complementary full inspection documented with photos and descriptions before any service. The service manager, John, was very kind and gave me a full rundown on all of the possible maintenance that we could do. He gave me some honest opinions on the priority of certain things and made my fiancé and I feel comfortable the whole time. He was patient with me on the phone as I asked a bunch of detail oriented questions. Did struts and shocks and oil change and diff fluids and fuel system cleaning and tire rotation. They got the job done quickly and for a reasonable price. The front desk area is newly renovated and very comfortable! It makes such a huge difference to go to a shop that documents everything they do and the current condition of the vehicle. And then to have a service manager who is kind and honest was a great experience.

Jerri was amazing from setting up the appt to explaining everything to me. I called ahead for an oil change which they had opening right then and got a complimentary tire rotation and detailed health report for my van. Took a bit over an hour but with this service, it’s worth the wait. Oh and way cheaper than any chain oil change place! Thanks again

Brown's (and previously Dearholt) have always taken great care of me and our cars! I trust them which is difficult to accomplish with the current state of the auto repair business. Cheryl and Vincent are both top notch and always work with me on the repairs that are truly critical and those things that just need to be watched. Highly recommend!

Great service from the team at Browns! A special thanks to Jerry for coordinating my BMW's coolant flush and arranging a shuttle to and from work. I greatly appreciate the effort and highly recommend this location!
